  • SATAN OUR MASTER....

  • Great!!!

  • 4:50 <3 <3 <3

  • Yes vortex is good. But Shagrath is GOD !

  • Best black Metal ever :)

  • @Blackdivision97 Just the Albums in norwegian were BM, I read all others are titled as 'Dark Metal'. Correct me, when I'm mistaking

  • Watch Shagrat's eyes at 6:25 ;-) wtf

  • Vortex way!!

  • The people who helped make the dislike bar.. How can you not like good music?

  • 0:44 infidelamsterdam?

  • 3:30.. I mean DAMN!

  • vortex is an angel *-*

  • i am more into the 90s era Black Metal, but this song kicks ass

  • Dimmu Borgir in their fucking prime !!! Insane

  • Thumbs up for my band PAGAN THRONE in the Video Responses!!!! /watch?v=4BQORfvFweQ

  • @danieliunesm Sou fã dessa banda . Isso ai é true ! dimmu borgir pop .

  • 644 Justin Bieber fans!

  • This live version kicks ass!!! butt seriously check out the studio version under this one. I think ist even better.. it gets me high

  • vortex we miss you D:

  • this was in my city and i effin missed it! D:

  • que publico tan aguevoniao esperen q lleguen a vzla para q vean como se tripea esta musica en vivo!!

  • I love this video! This live version is better than the album version.

  • 1:28 - urban camo?

  • again, again and again

  • All this stuff sounds the same. The same rasping voice, the same stupid makeup, the same outfits, the same menacing prancing "scary eh kids? - line from SCTV" LOL.

Just missing the sheep heads here. Good drumming though. They guy with the normal voice is much better. Maine complaint is that despite the look of the band I can't feel any genuine emotion. Example the band Silencer for some real scary music.

  • @stefan103 Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

  • @sinner0o True

  • @stefan103

I Love the old Dimmu Borgir alot... Hence why I like this video, and the band itself. But not all of it sounds the same to me. It's what I like.

  • @sinner0o I'll listen to another round but we can beg to differ. As a similar band, Mayhem was VERY interesting to me with Dead. But Per Ohlin was an exceptional talent and person.

  • @stefan103 If you mean the same Silencer like me (Death pierce me) it is a fucking masterpiece.

  • @EchoNorbi Yes, the same. I've added the Sterile Nails song to my ipod when I exercise and it still creeps me out, though it's beautiful Usually I'm glad the song is over because of the painful emotions it can produce. Though, I'm managing to listen to the eerie music and remain emotionally detached.

  • this is a load of shit fuck dimmu borgir listen to real black metal you posers

  • @Germs1133 god damn it man, dont call it anything then! just listen! what else is music for?

  • @Germs1133 Yes, only listen to music that the great Germs1133 deems worthy to be called "true", Hail Germs1133, the great master of kvlt!

  • @Germs1133 I listen to bands that I think sound good, not bands based on a label.

You seem like the real poser here; someone who listens to bands just to act cool. In other words, you're a jackass.

  • damn Shag's got some awesome ink going on... wtb

  • Funny Stuff LOL

  • He has one hell of a live voice

  • WE MISS YOU VORTEX :(

  • Shagrath, I love you!!! See ya on march in Brasil ;)

  • this is a massive disgrace to the name of black metal. and i'm not just saying that because it's mainstream. true black metal was made to be slap in the face of over produced, big music. this is in fact anti-black metal.

  • @timhx1138 ''True Black Metal's'' fans are so boring. Dimmu are not tr00. They're symphonic BM. Don't deny their talent in reason that they're not true BM.

  • @timhx1138 Unlike bands like Darkthrone... who now make crust punk / dance music. These guys evolved, went beyond the boundaries of a label, thought out of the box and I am quite sure guys like Varg Vikernes and Fenris could swap bank statements with Silenoz and Shagrath. Sell out or not, these guys don't have to have a day time job anymore.

  • @Roadycore i didn't say they sold out, i said that they're flying the flag of something that's meaningful, but dont represent it in the least. just an observation.

  • @Roadycore How that fuck is Darkthrone dance music???? Explain please.

  • num canso de escutar musica foda

  • Dimmu borgir passed away just after the release of this album

  • @izquemia Funny, I didnt care for this album. I thought their last good album was Spiritual Black Dimensions.

  • So now you have to be a satanist to use the internet?

  • @LoverOfSka Pfft, clearly. ;D

  • realmente a plateia tah morta

  • musica fodastica

  • hail from Norway

  • cara, cade o ânimo da plateia????

  • oh by the way its shagrath on vocals not sharat

  • that crowd is un enthusiastic

  • 3,910,885 people have all skipped to 4:46 Vortex is the bomb

  • this is ..............

  • Comment removed

  • nostalgica for me, used to borrow records at the music-library, and went home to a friend to listen and he had the DVD+CD from where this is taken from. And i remembered how i instantly knew that i was "spellbound"

  • Glance into the blackness hidden beneath your surface

And enjoy the suffering, sanity drained in disrespect

With such bedevilled faith in good, subsequently trusting evil

Next step for mankind will be the last seasons in sin...

    Awesome!

  • The bassist is a badass singer!!

  • @martyonair the bassist and awesome singer is called ICS Vortex and got kicked out of the band in 2009... :(

  • This is the true Dimmu Borgir in their prime! They can put as many orchestras and choirs on stage as they like but it will never make up for Vortex and Mustis :(

  • @SirJonny97 Are you kidding me? I have been a fan of theirs for a long time, and i think their newest album is their best yet. But we all have different meanings i guess.

  • @SirJonny97 I agree but there is the one song gateways... Agnete and Shagrath alone without any for of music is purely epic... xD

  • @SirJonny97 I couldn't agree with you anymore on that statement, this right here was their finest line-up I believe, Vortex on bass on operatic vocals, mustis on keyboards, Shagrath on vocals, which is where he belongs, and Galder and Silenoz on guitar! This song is a masterpiece, so dark and morbid, yet the melody on Vortex's voice and Galder's solo are heavenly sounding! Good shit!

  • @SirJonny97 srsly. dimmus great work was before icsvortex (hows an awesome musician) and mustis (dont know if thats spelled right actually). first three albums were the best they ever made. without those 2. but well, i dont know where this "97" in your name comes from... but i have an idea where it could come from...

  • @ratteasd I'm not saying Vortex and Mustis are what make Dimmu great, my favourite Dimmu albums are Stormblast and Enthrone Darkness Triumphant by a long way. And no, '97 isn't the year of my birth, do not take it as immaturity that I think that Dimmu had a far better stage presence and energy with these members on board.

  • @SirJonny97 k, got ur point now, wasnt that clear in your previous post. vortex was a monster on stage.

  • @SirJonny97 Dude... I have seen Vortex so many times playbacking on stage. Im happy he is gone.

  • @3Yechiel3 why dont you like Vortex? i think he really made the back up vocals kind of " pop " and his range is pre damn good as well as his control of his voice

  • @SirJonny97 they will and they have. a real orchestra is better then a computer made orchestra. i wouldent spend money to go see a guy play orchestral music on his piano. its hard to argue that you would rather see that XD, and as for vortex the only reason his voice was as good as it was in dimmu was because they played a harmony in the cd and a delay in concert -_- besides that id much rather marco from nightwish or dio, or singer from kamelot or the singer from tyr ect ect.

  • @t1oxETy Vortex's voice was/is as good as it was/is because he has an epic voice! Go listen to his other stuff. Lamented Souls - Essence Of Wounds, his solo album. The man has an amazing voice. They only put the effects on his voice to put it in with the demonoid vocal theme that generally goes with black metal. A single being with a voice of multiples. pretty cool really.. But still, Simen has a badass voice in general. Way better than Marco lol

  • @brakoify I'm sorry, but the auto-tune is correcting it's ass off.

  • @mullbenkt you clearly have no idea what auto tune even is if you're trying to apply it here.

  • @brakoify that's where you're wrong, since Vortex's debut with clean vocals in DB (PEM 2001) it has been well known and stated that they used auto-tune to correct his pitch. If you are a musician (or at least not a narrow-minded fan) you can cearly hear the effect of it (though professionally masked with the wet delay). His voice on the other hand is fantastic, his pitch, not so very much.

  • @mullbenkt Damn. I haven't listened to Dimmu in 5 years now, and I never noticed it before. But now, I can't NOT notice it. It's really clever how well masked it is.

  • @brakoify agree to disagree?

  • @t1oxETy only if there's pie involved.

  • @brakoify ...JUST LOOK UNDER YOUR CHAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIRR! :D PIE FOR EVERYBODY

  • @t1oxETy xP

  • Vortex :'(

  • 642 son homosexuales

  • Hideous! but in a good way :D

  • that speech makes no sense. 'Left were the kings... Of the Carnival Creation... For we are ones... Who carry out the echoes of the fallen'

  • @dreadlockjones919 LEFT ARE THE KINGS... OF THE CARNIVAL CREATION FOR WE ARE THE ONES WHO CARRY OUT THE ECHOES OF THE FALLEN

  • @crawling211 it still makes no sense

  • @dreadlockjones919 who cares the song is fucking awesome

  • DEMON BURGURRRR!!!

  • Everyone is just at their best here. Except the crowd. I'd be going ape shit.

  • 4:43 - Shag says: "Vorteeeeeeeeeeexxxx"

  • ♫ ♫

  • You tube i am quite pissed off that u reduce the sound volume .....buuuuhhhhhhhh

  • Oh the indignity of getting stuck with the 2pm time slot at Ozzfest

  • Vortex says : FUK U AL .I.

  • Honestly though, when it comes to Christianity, what upsets me the most is you have to deal with a fking God who you cannot ever challenge, can never question what he does or any of that. It's the same with "Sodomy", men/women laying with the same sex, it shouldn't matter anymore.. there's no commandment that says you can't. At least in court in reality you have a chance to present you're own arguments & defend yourself, where in heaven it's either his way or the highway, kinda bull imo :I

  • @dsb345 Just don't believe in such absurdities. Abolish any religious influence in government. It poisons and it is a discriminatory practice(to put it nicely). Believe what you believe, but when you base your governmental policies off of the moral practices of the bible or the koran, it makes for a terrible, violent, and often feeble minded society as a whole. Do we REALLY want a theocratic society anywhere? Examples: mormon societies, sharia law. Challenge it all. Never back down.

  • @CkyRckr I'd agree, I would challenge most other religioins mostly cus of the way they operate, but since I was raised a christian even thugh I'm not a big one, I feel like a hypocrit doing that though. All I know is, just as long as people aren't trying to hurt each other and treat each other fairly, it's all good. But that's a huge farcry from what the world truely is, and sadly I don't think things are gonna change anytime soon.

  • @dsb345 I know. What I was saying was yeah, I am christian but only because it's been wired into my brain, I can't change the fears I have. Even I feel a little "wrong" for listening to this music, but I refuse to let my belief affect what I enjoy. Since Black Metal is suppost to be of a dark nature, not entirely satanic, or satanic at all, I can easily resonate with that with my own life which I think is amazing. And yes, the world is cruel, thus I created my own.

  • @dsb345 im dont have a religion but i wish all christians were like you

  • Like.. Think about it, how would you feel if all of a sudden your parents loved you to death, then had a new baby, that baby got all the attention, even years after, and you're parents never thought much of you after. It's a similar story. Personally I embrace both God AND Satan. That's still another reason I love Dimmu Borgir.

  • Yeah, I'd agree satan is the most devout believer in god. Christians simply hate music like this because they think it's worshiping him. In NONE of Dimmu Borgirs songs have I heard them actually saying go out, worship the devil, none of that crap. If satan could speak, Shagrath is probably saying the same things Satan himself would say. If anything Lucifer was cast out cus HE was ONE of Gods most prized creations, and he shoved him outa the way to make room for US, think about that christians..

  • i only watch this video for vortex. great song, just not live, in my opinion

  • I got something to say to y'all people… SATAN ITS THE MOST FAITHFUL BELIEVER OF CHIRST AND GOD…

its funny to hear how you denied it. Just for make it clear, i'm not a catholic or a hater or a evangelic or any of those shit. Its just my opinion based on what I read and on what I know.

  • @matias7anriquez i agreed with u at some point... where did u get these ideas... the book of lies? Anyway it'll always be g-d vs Satan and i rather be in hell than with a bunch of assholes dragging humanity down to its knees(slavery)

  • Funny is that when he say "carrying out the echoes of evil" 0:10 he's looking to the sky. hahaha!

  • @AngeloNoel "the echoes of the fallen"

    It's a reference to Lucifer's character.

  • @StealerAG I didn't noticed that! Thanks,man!

  • @AngeloNoel =)

  • una exelente cancion de una banda chingona

  • I really like heavy metal, thrash and rock music and shit, but CAN ANYONE HERE explain me, wtf does this guys wear clothes like that, the spikes on his boots, the make up… and all of that stuff.

Does that have a racional explanation or its just some sort of a stupid fashion shit.

  • @matias7anriquez It's just a theme really, just fits the meanings behind their albums and individual songs

  • @Evilson251 That's more like an answer… thanx.

  • @matias7anriquez it's black metal you dumb shit. why people wear crosses to symbolise they follow a religion? if you like metal you more than likely will be accustomed to wearing clothes associated with the music.

  • @Doomistic rappers wear oversized clothes (although most of them nowadays do not know it) becouse the first rappers were poor, and born under precarious circumstances so they had to use their parents or older brother clothes. That's a fact bro, and that's the kind of answer that i was looking at for. Its a shame to hear that black metal nowadays its just a bunch of kids, who doesn't know what are they doing and why.

Take notice, that in any point a had to call you "dumb shit" to make my point.

  • @matias7anriquez why do people wear oversized bottoms and caps on backwards?

  • @magicdevil09 I dont know, i dont wear them, and i dont know either why black metal musicians wear clothes like that, that's why i'm asking for an answer...

  • @matias7anriquez Black metal was founded in hate of the christian oppression generally..

Why do football players burn cork and put it on their face..

Why do rappers wear oversized clothing and jewelry..and black skin..

  • @matias7anriquez It's a punk-metal themed look, ever seen Road Warrior? It's similar, personally I love the look. At least these guys arent afraid to look badass

  • The internet used to be a good place to chill, now its filled with a bunch of useless nonsense. I hope humanity is proud, one of our greatest achievements and all we can do is bitch at each other with it.

  • @thejakeyl88 Postal service, telephone lines, speech, ALL of these things fell upon the same fate. It's humans, they're stupid...

  • even jesuss existment is a legend ,not a historical prove. All we know about God is from the book named bible. And who did write it ?Church tells us this book is holly, yet written by men .There is no proovment and never will be.

  • thats right FUCK GOD.Dimmu Borgir is the best !!! You try to explain something to us ,but ask yourself do we even need your opinion about it?Absolutely not!

  • Peolple are so brainwashed by evil.

  • @LoverOfSka where do you get your definition of evil from? I can guarantee its not dimmu borgir. Get a fucking clue. Its music. Enjoy it or shut the the fuck up.

  • @TrevoStuden You are the exact example of the people i am talking about. To each their own, i love music but most definitely believe in evil and brainwash. I will say once, GOD IS REAL and we are all manipulated by the media, I dont dislike you for your opinions, but i hope you open your eyes along with everyone else that loves this band. God bless.

  • @LoverOfSka FUCK UR GOD

  • @LoverOfSka I love the band, but I'm Christian/Agnostic, because I attempt to be a rational and logical person. I don't 100% believe in god, or satan, because there's not enough proof, but the "FEELINGS" that reside in us all hat maybe something is out there, that governs our known universe may be real. Nobody will ever know what happens after death. This music is just music, regardless if they rock Pentgrams and reversed crosses, they are just props.

  • @dsb345 I'm totally with you. Read my previous comments, i think we think similar. I want to make these people THINK a little bit and dont answer with a "fuck you" or a "your god doesn't exist"… which i think its stupid, taking into account that satan its the most faithful believer of christ and god.

  • @LoverOfSka People will always listen to whatever music they want. Black Metal is almost seems like a form of rebellion, it's BEYOND the norm of what people expect to hear in music, and I find that appealing. I'm even a fan of Death Metal. I'm not brainwashed, and neither are most people here. For those who respect all forms of music like myself, I doubt we'd ever become "brainwashed" at all by Dimmu Borgirs music because of their satanic nature.

  • @dsb345 Finally someone with brains in here, thats inspiring...

  • @LoverOfSka a word to the wise

dont bring you're god to the internet cause no one gives a shit and dont be a preacher here on the internet cause you'll get eaten right away

stay off the internet if you dont know how to use it please

  • @LoverOfSka

Please present me with one ounce of proof that he does infact exist. Anything but the idiotic argument that "I can't prove he doesn't exist" cause, if I was going to do that, I'd require proof of him existing. It's just basic logic.

  • pop rock with grouchy vocals

  • @verityslice The fuck is wrong with you?XD

  • 4:24

    I think that's a bass, not guitar

  • 6:01 Child Molester face.

  • The video starts at 4:46

  • @TheNephasth666 thats just stupid

  • @TheNephasth666 You know he's not in the band. So, Dont act like he's a god. Great artist but he doesn't make the song.

  • @TheNephasth666 actually at 0:00

  • @TheNephasth666

You mean: the playbacking starts at that moment?

  • @3Yechiel3 there is no playback ;)

  • A below commenter said that Dimmu Borgir was taken over by the industry and greed (not surprised from a Satanist metal band), but seriously. You can progress all you want, but at least try to stay true and realise where you come from. You were once just another band trying to make it in the world like every other. That is, if they really have been taken over by greed and more.

  • So, they actually FIRED Vortex, like.. Get out of the band, we don't need you anymore? Or more along the lines of.. It's been a great run with you, but I think we need to part ways? I heard Endings and Continuations in their new album Abrahadabra and.. The guy who was singing. Really? Vortex sings better than him IMO. I understand what progressing is and how it can be healthy, but taking out Vortex is taking out a serious element in the band. Vortex was better, and this live song proves it.

  • i really regret that i never saw this song live and most likely never will... ='(((

  • @ScorpionCore I heard it live in England a a few months ago :D 'Twas amazing...Go do it dude:D

  • @Narutoisawesum i'm not sure if they will give a performance together with vortex (not after they fired him). seeing them in their current line up is no problem but the old one...

  • @Narutoisawesum Did all the girls wear Veils? Because last I saw Britain belonged to the Muslims as an American I am like WTF .................ISLAM IS OVERTAKING WHAT R U GONNA DO??????

  • This makes me giddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love vortex's voice

  • the master banda dimmu borgir

  • they deleted my comment but i still say 4:46 thumb ups for background screams for vortex's legendary voice

  • LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Angels among us!!! Shagrat is the most beautiful, sexiest, man Ive ever seen.......he's my kind!

  • This will always be the Dimmu Borgir I remember. The new album is pretty damn good, and having a choir to sing Simen's parts live is epic, but none of it will compare to this. the best 10 years of Dimmu gone and changed.

  • getting rid of vortex was a badddd idea, this song just isn't the same performed now.

  • @fashionshow13 why did they get rid of him?

  • @zimimon1 I'm not sure completely but obviously there was differences as they actually fired Vortex and he himself put in a statement that "he will remember the days before the greed and music industry took over Dimmu Borgir" Dimmu also fired Keyboardist Mustis in the same year by text message according to him.
