  • Yes Rick Stein is the best, by far.

  • If I ever made this I would just sit there with it on my knee, no one would get any ......so thats why i would never make it haha

  • Lovely. Stein is the best brittish tv-cook since Floyd died. Fuck Ramsay, he is just a arrogant tv ape.

  • wow and yum

  • fuk im hungry and high

  • Cooking this one again tonight. It has not failed to impress yet and would rank as the best meat I have ever tasted.... Try it!

  • Indeed. Perfect.

  • cooking this tonight. plans for barbecue thwarted by british rain so will be searcing it in a pan then finishing off in the oven.

    cheers for the video!

  • pre world cup fodder !

  • @clauseslingjensen how long did you let it sit on the bbq for? Was there a temperature you were shooting for?

  • @1985lp Sorry I did not use a thermometer. I just browned it first on both sides over the coals. When I thought it had a good colour I moved it over to the indirect side of the weber for around 15 to 20 min. I then let it rest for 15 min. in tin(alu)foil on top of some newspapers. My guests liked meat well-done and this was pretty well done but not dry or grey in colour.

  • I made it yesterday - fantastic. Looks a bit difficult to cut but once you get started it's quiet easy. Looks so good on BBQ the taste was perfect.

  • @watherston1

    was he's de-boned???

  • @billyairdjnr

This is butterfly cut (meat opens up like butterfly wings, joined at the middle) - deboning gives this result anyway. So if you buy a supermarket leg of lamb deboned, just cut the strings, open it out, and give it a bashing to make it flat. You might find a lump - the topside - but that's just a rolled up layer you can slice so it unrolls to an even flatness - he does that in the vid.

  • Never barbacued lamb ,but will try that

  • Hi

Just wanted to say they I did get around to making this last summer and I can say this as good as it looks in the video. It doesn't take too long to prep and its really pretty quick to cook on a nice hot BBQ. Will be making this again this summer without a shadow of a doubt.

    ... damn I'm hungry now

  • id take it up the ass to have some of that!

  • That's dedication right there.

  • cooking this bad boy tonight .. yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • yep!

  • Looks aboslutely beautiful. I remember seeing this on TV but forgot the receipe. Thanks for uploading
