Maybe the most beautiful place I've ever been to. Thanks for the video, brought back great memories from my honeymoon. I was there in March of 2010 and there were some rare birds that appeared to fly backwards, someone told us it was a very rare thing to see.
Aloha, Brant. Thanks for sharing this video. I've never visited the lighthouse at Kilauea. Hopefully, I'll be able to during my third visit to Kauai next week. Question: Are visitors allowed to climb up the lighthouse? Also, what camera are you using? Your vids are to clear and crisp! Mahalo.
@joonox25 Hi Gil, Thanks for the comment. I remember there is a locked gate at the foot of the stairs. I don't think they let the public up there. It is really beautiful. There is a shop called Kong Lung Trading on the road to the lighthouse. It's worth a stop and there is a small bakery in the back with really good pizza and stuff. I am using a Sony HDR-XR500 with a wide angle lens adapter and a polarizing filter. Thanks. the filter has made the biggest difference in my videos. Mahalo!
@joonox25 Once a year, during the anniversary celebration of the lighthouse every April, visitors are allowed to climb up with a free guided tour. I have done this twice. I live here, Mahalo

I was back in Kauai (Sept. 11-18) but did not get the chance to visit the light house. I plan to do this next year when I come back :-)
