  • I am following the tutorial and I want it to change along with its length. I am also doing top down assembly and I want the shell to change with length , width and height of skeleton so that I dont have to go back and drag curve everytime.

    Please tell me if there is easier way to make it parametric.

  • @pravidhineupane it is actually parametric, but you don't need to enter coordinates to define curves. This tutorial uses top-down approach; we first build a master model to describe the whole shape, then split it into different components.

  • Can you tell me how do I make this parametric?

  • @pravidhineupane why do you need this to be parametric? this model is always editable, you can modify the curves by dragging anytime. is it more direct than editing parameters?

  • why not use AST?

  • iam newly studied can i draw like u

  • Hey,

    im trying you follow your tutorial

    but im stuck on

    8-B (page A-10)

    This part =>

    •Mirror the curve

    •Create a 3d spline(linking 3 endpoints)

    •Create another 3d spline

  • @BigDaddy281

    switch workbench to "Generative shape design", then you can see "symmetry". use this command to mirror the curve

  • Very neat-o :)

  • Use module "freestyle" to quickly create a 3d wireframe model (with all key control curves); then use the module "generative shape design" to do the rest. Besides, the model is in 1:1. i used 4 dxf as the background. Since dxf is a vector format, which is easy to magnify. For this big model, don't use pixel formats (jpg).

    did i delete your comment? if yes, i clicked a wrong button carelessly. sorry!
