A small part goes to the artist. A very small part compared to what sony earn. His disc music signed 50 concerts without asking anything to Michael. So, you can understand what is going on in the music industry! You are possibly incorrect with MJ's music, he owned 90% whilst with Sony, and THIS IS IT 'movie' will have funds going to Jackson Estate. However, they really shouldn't be involved with the movie considering Michael's strong resistance to them in his later years.
