@mulkis1231 My advice for you is to always make sure you stay within the law. Is best not to lie but you can ask the officer if you are obliged or required to answer his question. The officers normaly avoid giving you an answer and continue to ask for your details. In that situation keep asking them if you are obliged and if they say you are ask them which law they are using. The most important thing is to have a camera otherwise its your word against many of them.

If and only if you are arrested never resist and follow their instructions. Once at the police station tell the duty seargent who is the one at the desk that you wish to exercise your right to remain silent and you also wish for a duty solicitor to be called. You can not be looked at as bad for wanting to speak with a solicitor first. Its your right.
