I did watch this girls video. I would have to say she did not really even make an attempt at defining what she was trying to disprove much less disprove anything.
The "Tolstoy Principle" is a variation on a quote from Anna Karenina: "Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way."
Substitute, families for animals and happy for domesticable.
I would sugg. reading GG&S by J.D., it is a very interesting book.

i also dont understand what she is going on about, there is no need to proove science wrong, science has its purpose...but i hate people who think that life is science...i also don't understand why people think that spirituality and science are opposites...they have nothing to do with each other.

1) Those PSW videos are totally meant as a joke. If she was actually proving science wrong, she just might have a Nobel prize.
2) What she talks about IS discussed in that Jared Diamond book; the theory and the book is discussed in "Don't Know Much About Mythology," as well.

It's not something that's well known. There were some experiment were scientists tried to follow and track some subatomic particles. The traced their movements w/o watching and then when they WERE looking, the particles did NOT behave at all like they were expected to. This is where the principle comes in. Now, what exactly this is trying to SUGGEST, is a bit beyond me.

In referenced video, LG attributes "Tolstoy Principle" to Jared Diamond AND she is reading his "Guns Germs, and Steel". Chapter 9 (p 157) cites Tolstoy's "happy families" take from "Anna Karenina" which LG elevates to a principle. Diamond and LG apparently are more into old media than baffled viewers.
