Short answer for you is the lower the angle the black the tat, Think skin in a cross section. on an angle the needle/ink covers more surface area through the layers.

@theaerialarborist the Vaseline helps with removing any extra ink off the skin without wiping away the stencil it works wonders i use it when i tattoo my clients also spray stuff or stencil stuff works good too but i highly would recommended the Vaseline

yes, you can do that. Many people do. Tatt's are very personal, and they are for life. Makesure the one you get is REALLY the one you want. Also really check out who is going to give you the Tatt....ask around, do some research. Makesure EVERY thing is NEW that they use on you. The medical side is coming out....Be safe!

it doesnt hurt as bad as u think it goes numb prty quick . i did mine on my leg myself and it hurt for like ten seconds then it went numb in that area but if u move far it hurts a little bit

i wouldnt worry to much about the pain whilst being inked, think more about what can be sensative and painfull whilst caring for your tatt after, boney areas are more painfull and of course where the sun dont shine. still your young, you should heal quick, just grit ya teeth when in progress. hope that helps, good luck.

Yes, you can use the same machine. There different machines out there that were designed for either lining or shading but it's not really needed. There different needles and corresponding tubes. Liner needles are bundled like a pen and shaders are more like a brush.
