I think maybe she puts a lot of effort into Rory, because sometimes you can really see parts of Lorelai in her actions and how she speaks so maybe she's bad sometimes because she overthinks the role. Absolutely Fabulous actually reminds me a lot of Gilmore Girls. Except Lorelai actually works and she and her daughter have a good relationship among other things, but if you really think about it, you'll see the similarities.
