In my opinion, Super Circuit is really close to being the best Mario Kart game; the tracks are among the series' best, your opponents can't rely on items to win (Recently, in MK Wii I was hit by a Red Shell, then a Blue Shell, then a POW block within five seconds), and the difficulty level and speed are greatly increased. The problem?

Guess you never played 150cc then. It's almost as BS as Super Mario Kart's 150cc. You opponent will ALWAYS have a red shell ready for you, so you'll have to have an item in reserve for that. Also, if you end up doing too good, the CPU won't let that slide and will use a lightning bolt.Sometimes, they manage to use three Boos in a row on you if you do way too good, (Boos in this game slow down the person in first place and makes the driver lose four coins.).

Super Circuit is as bad as the other Mario Kart in terms of frustration, and is the worst when you are trying to get a triple star ranking in every cup in every engine class. It's not that hard to get it in the normal cups, but you have to be crazy precise to get it in the extra cups.

@ShadowMario3 100cc in Super Circuit is still as fast as, if not faster than MKW's 150cc, and the red shells aren't completely brokenin MKSC; they're easier to block because you can keep them at your tail for longer, and you don't have those pesky fake item boxes that don't block anything. And has one item in MKSC brought you from first to eighth? Because in MKW you can: get hit, fall off a sheer drop, then fall off again when you're shunted aside during recovery.

No, one item hasn't, but one item can completely ruin your chances of getting a triple star rank. It's much easier to get one in DS, Wii, and 7.

@ShadowMario3 I like a challenge, though, and the level of difficulty I'm used to just isn't present in the other MK games I've played. (I only have MKSC, MKDS, and MKW, but I've played some DD.) I literally just picked up MKDS for the first time in over a year and got a star rank on the 150cc Lightning Cup first try WITH A BROKEN DSI. (The R button's not responding correctly and the L button's completely busted.) Honestly, the difficulty in MKSC is probably for the best.

I doubt you'll say that once you actually try to get a triple star rankings in the Extra Cups. It's nigh impossible to get that ranking in Extra Lightning, Star, and Special Cup in 50cc, let alone 100cc and 150cc.

I can get 1st place no problem. I can get 150-180 coins if I try. Now why can't I get above single star rank on Super Circuit cups, and no higher than rank C on Extra cups? I can go without crashing or being hit by anything, too. It just completely escapes me as to why I'm not ranking any better.

I really would like to know if there is a reward for getting triple star rank on all 30 cups, because I have only managed to get triple star rank on all 15 of the normal cups but the extra cups are like, extremely hard just to get a double star rank I always end up always getting an A or a single Star, if there isn't a reward for getting triple star rank on all the extra cups and normal cups, I don't want to even bother. I don't see a difference between this guy and my game.

I really admire your skills! Getting triple star rankings is an extremely difficult feat indeed! But can you tell me how exactly you can achieve such rankings? I've searched the web for hours and I've never seen any accurate guide.

All the requirements I've seen stated in guides are way off base. I can tell that just by looking at your video and testing the ones I can achieve myself. When I thought I finally found a good guide, I got one star instead of a supposedly guaranteed two.

All I remember is you have to be first every lap, have a fast time, and collect a lot of coins. You can use items, like I do here, but don't use too many. And it's safe to get hit once or twice.

It's ridiculously hard to get triple star ranking for the Extra Cups though. Just too crazy.

I know you can change the outer edge trim thing on the Game Boy player to different colors, but I've never seen the silver that looks like an actual GBA. Mine doesn't have that as an option I don't think.

when you beat all the CC's with each cup in gold rank you unlock a red start up screen and the extra special cups, you should try it its really fun i already did it.

I assume Rankings are affected by :-

1) Total Race Times

2) Total Coin Count

3) % (Time) in First Place and trophy received (Copper, Silver, Gold)

4) Hits received (less = better)

Triple stars ranking? Score high in each of the above categories. I hate the ranking system though, sometimes being hit is not entirely your fault -- I'm so glad Super Mario Kart does not use grade ranking.

No one knows exactly for sure, especially for the Extra Cups. All I can say is have fast times, always be first in each lap, and use items very sparingly.

Once you get Gold Cups for every cup (I think), you unlock the "Afternoon" theme for the title. Once you get Triple Star rankings for all of the normal Cups in each engine class, you unlock this "Nighttime" theme.

Well, if you say so. But there is a site I ALWAYS go to when I want video-game cheats. Type in: "CCG". (Google Search, not YouTube). "CCG" stands for "(C) Cheats (C) Codes (G) Guides.

So, if you type "CCG" in, you'll have a choice of what I said the name was.

Click it. Then type in CCG's Adress Line:

Mario Kart Super Circuit. It'll tell you the name of the system below the title.

Then when you find the right one, click it. It'll say you could play as Waluigi.

(These cheats REALLY work)!

Nope, that site is wrong. It's been confirmed there is no Waluigi or Space Cup in the game by those who ripped through (debugged) the game, and those who got everything (like me).

And I got way past getting Gold Trophies in each Cup in Each Engine Class, and no Waluigi here.
