  • This place is awesome but dude needs to understand that there is much more to an arcade than just good fighters.

I grew up with FunSpot in NH before I moved to NY so I got the best of BOTH worlds.

I have no idea how Next Level is but I hope they have some more platformers, etc there.

Some Nintendo series "VS" cabinets would be nice to see in there. Or some more shooters.

  • 2:44 SO MUCH FUCKING MEMORY

omg I wanted to buy that cvs2 cabinet lol

  • I went to high school in manhattan, and i remember ditching my friends to go meet up with my friends at CTF (sometimes you would see the same people over and over again and wonder if they left the arcade since yesterday). I was shocked in this video when i saw the street fighter machine open. I remember playing people for tokens and would sometimes beg you let them keep them. I will never be forget you CTF

  • Arcades are dead now.

  • chinatown fair has its pluses. it iS a real arcade haven in new york city. however, you cannot sit at all, there are no bathrooms, and well, it's just not comfy. they need to make japanese style arcade gaming experience in the US.

  • RIP the last real arcade

  • We just heard that China Town Fair will be closing. We're sorry we never got there with our new camera equipment but we will continue to support Henry and if he decides to open up in another location.

  • @PressStartComic If you can you should come on the last day. Supposedly its on the 23rd which is Weds...

  • @TheSynGame I spoke to Henry over on Facebook and he told me that Wednesday is the final day. But I have work during the week and I won't be able to take a day off to go into the city.

  • @PressStartComic noot even at night?

  • @TheSynGame No, I live on Long Island, not the city. So taking the LIRR back and forth is a pain in the ass.

  • @PressStartComic I feel you on that bt don't worry about it. Henry trolled the shit out of everyone. CF will be around for another month. Nothing is set in stone yet.

  • @PressStartComic It's actually just relocating or nothing will happen to it at all.

  • @Coldbrand Yes, I keep hearing things going back and forth. For now I'm going to change the description to "Might Close".

  • except... now the arcade is dead T.T

  • As much as I loved this place a few years ago, it sure has dropped down in quality. all they seem to care about nowadays re their SSf4 machines while neglecting machines that are broken. the Guilty Gear machine comes to mind when talking about neglected machines.

  • And homeless people.

  • CTF Was The SHIIIIIIT Back Then Now Its Full of Drugys And DRAMA!!!!!!

  • @AunaTidoki only if you allow yourself to get sucked into it, the druggy part is usually on account of the pre and post rave gatherings that occur at CF

  • @xxrigo22xx

true but i think it was a bad thing for the newbies but hey thats their chose

anyways MORE THEN LIKELY IS THE DRAMA....NEVER ENDING XD

  • do u have videos of the current arcadia?

  • its true you got to find them the 1s around here suck nothing in them i like there are still a few gems around

  • Fuck that Place In New Wack Shitty its a shithole of a place and that old man who runs that place is a fuckin prick too. Smackin his keys around and yellin like he's on the rag all the time .....Time to Go Time to Go! What A bunch of Lame Assess LOL Hahaha! I'm Glad I got the Fuck outta there!

  • i used to go evry friday nite to watch my boyz bust ass in street fighter 4 dat wear i met justin wong cool ass dude

  • How come the arcade in my mall doesn't have at least half the shit they got there? I'm jealous! T_T

  • @chaos1778 At least your mall HAS arcades. Mine got nothing anymore, apparently the owner for the arcade place and the owner of the mall got in a feud and closed the arcades down. Now it sucks. It was the only good thing it had besides food court.

  • The atmosphere is the furthest thing from bad. I go there every like 2 weeks, and its an amazing arcade. The level of competitiveness is very high on games like MvC2, Tekken 6, ect, but its a fun competitiveness. I recommend anyone whos an arcade fan to go there.

  • i heard the atmosphere is bad? is it?

  • Nope, the opposite really. Competitive, yes. Majority of the people there, especially on the weekends, are competitive and overall its a fun experience. it's not a bad atmosphere, just that there's always a constant energy flowing

  • i was traveling up the east coast and decided to stop in. it was pretty awesome, i came in at like 11:30 at night and got my ass kicked in sf4. if u saw a frail white kid there it was prbly me

  • I walked past it yesterday. I wanted to go in and take a couple of pictures but we were in a rush. I knew it was located in chinatown but I had no idea it was right next to my friend's house. Too bad she's not into video games.

  • they love the neo geo machines and the fighting games very nice

  • I just visited this place last week. It is as crazy as ever.

  • haven't been here in a while, what's the current status of the extreme/supernova/itg2 machine? Like prices/ pad quality

  • lmfao i know 60% of the people in this video lol.... i miss that old setup

lol @ rocket , flip and penga XD

  • they changed alot from this vid they got street fighter 4 were that DDR game was in this vid

  • any chance fate unlimited codes will be there <_<

  • helz yea they got street fighter 6. as a matter of fact 4 of them.

  • heard there getting blazblu

  • Yup, they got it.

  • is tekken 6 in that arcade

  • Yes, as well as Street Fighter IV. This is from 2007 before they got them as well as a couple of other newer games.

We're trying to make another trip back there with our better camera to get some better video of it.

  • Do they have an Initial D Stage 3 cabinet? I can't find one anywhere on Long Island after the arcade in the Bayshore mall closed down.

  • Not anymore. They upgraded to Version 4. The only places I know of with V3 is Nathans Fun City and I think 8 on the Break still has theirs.

  • Wow Version 4!!!! I can't wait to try it. Where is Nathans fun city?

  • Check our other videos, Fun City is in Nassau County, across the street from the mall.

  • Oh sweet thanks. It sucks now that Sports Plus closed down. Aside from Dave & Busters there are no arcades in Suffolk County anymore.

  • They also Have ID3 in this arcade called Peter pan games in Bayside.... it's around Bay Terrace it's a long trip but it's easy to go to and highly worth it :D

  • @PressStartComic Yeah it was there. Something happened to the cabinet tho.

  • Yup

  • i was there yesterday caus e i live in nyc and got nothing to do street fighter 4 and tekken 6 oh bring a ps2 controller for tekken 6

  • CTF is the shit. I went last summer on a Sunday and had so much fun even though I lost in 3rd Strike. I won some rounds though. I still have two dragon coins left over lol.

I plan on going back when Street Fighter IV is confirmed to be there.

  • It's there!!

  • Yeah I found out on SRK forums!

Pretty steep at $1 per play though. I haven't got a chance to play yet, but I'm definitely hittin' up CTF this fall.

  • u get wrong with king of fighters=.=

the one next to puzzle fight i believe is 2000

and the Chinese guy who is playing the 98 u said that was 97, but i believe that machine get 97,98 and one other.. and he is good in puzzle fighter too, the one who playing king of fighter 1997 with the glasses on, piece

  • looks like a good arcade. i'm going to NYC on saturday, and my question is, do you recommend going here? i've heard about the place having an awful smell. do you know if that's true?

  • man chinatown fair is the shit!!!!!!! one of the best arcades ive ever been to but the dude a bitch cheap fucker

  • ROFL. A whole bunch of my friends are in that video. That was before CF went to shit.

  • lolol

"arctic thunder's not on but... meh who cares"

  • fyi you said 1 machine wrong it is kof(king of fighters 2002) not 2001 :D

  • This is our setup from a while ago

The kof cabinets are all multi-cabs

Third Strike and X-men vs SF have switched

  • I just changed the name of the video. A lot of folks are wondering where the newer games are. We plan on revisiting CTF in the summer on a weekday so we can get good shots of all the new machines with little to no people.

Hopefully they'll have Street Fighter 4 when we go too!

  • Tokyo Game Action in Winchendon, Mass is getting Street Fighter IV on 50 inch Head to Head cabinets HIGH DEF. WHATS GOOD NEW ENGLAND!

    SUP ANDY!

  • What's that Seibu game with the vertical monitor at the start of this video?

  • That would be Viper Phase 1. The game's controllers don't work 100% but it's still fun to drop a token or two in.

  • Viper Phase 1 eh? I wish Seibu did a Playstation version of Viper Phase 1 as that game would have been better than the cool but very short Strikers 1945 game by Psykio.

  • Arcana Heart with MvC2 and SFIII 3rd Strike can get anyone to come to Chinatown Fair. I must find a way to there from Penn State. Good Video!

  • I just bought Arcana Heart for the PS2 a few weeks ago and it is the best fighting game since it has only cute anime girls in this 2D fighting game.

  • The guy in the black shirt....he is ALWAYS at CTF. lol

  • hey, do u know if there is still a ITG2 Cabinet their, cuz i stop in NYC from time to time, and I didnt know that their was an arcade in chinatown. Hit back.

  • Next time can you do a tour about carasello in howard beach please?!?!?

  • haha i go there like crazy to do super nova causei kick ass

  • what?Did you just say tekken tag?I don't Like That game.

  • sweet, I went to this place last night and it was great. Really reminded me of that great arcade atmosphere of the 90's. I'm surprised Marvel vs Capcom 1 isn't as popular as 2 though. I've always liked 1 over 2.

  • China Town Arcade? NO Initial D V3 or V4? BULLLLLSHIIIEEEETTTTT

  • Well this is back in August. They did in fact get in a nice two player Initial D Version 4 machine.

I was going to take a new updated video of it, but being Friday night, it was packed and I didn't want to tape with everybody there.

  • ohmahgawdomgomgomgomgomgomg

  • What about all the SHMUPS? all i could see is bloody fighters..

  • CTF is about 90% Fighters, the rest of the games are music games, racing games a few puzzle games and two or three SHMUPS.

They have Giga Wing a Raiden Fighters and they used to have Mars Matrix and I think that one game called Viper.

I know they got rid of Mars Matrix and they put in Super Pang! (aka Buster Brothers) and I'm not sure if Viper is still there.

I am going to update the video since I got a new camera and I'll be sure to cover the other non fighting games.

  • only 1 machine for 3s...or are there more laying around there?

  • CTF likes to rotate the machines around. That time we went they only had one Third Strike. Other times I've went they've had two. They usually have two of the most popular games, 3S, MvC2,Tekken5.

  • ChinTown Fair is Legendary?

That's crazy, I go over there every other day to challenge people at Tekken 5.

  • "arcades are not dead.. you just have to know where to go to find 'em!"

soo true. this place is practically a hole in the wall but i go there all the time for dancing games and SC2 =D

  • LMAO i see myself in that video

  • lol no refunds.... who asks for refunds when they lose?

  • Sore losers I guess. When I first went there and saw the sign I asked if the machine was broken but they told me the game worked fine, it's just that the best players in the city play there and you WILL have your ass handed to you.

  • No its not that... Sometimes the machines eat tokens thats why Sam started doing that...
