i always found it strange that DPS would sell the building they owned on Woodward and Warren to WSU only to LEASE their current space in the New Center area. So they went from owning to leasing, isn't that counter productive?

When I went to Pershing High School many moons ago....we really had no toliet paper and the books were old just like the adult school on Davidson i went to as well. They ought to be ashamed, of their-selves!!

A 2006 study by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation found only 21.7% of freshmen entering high school graduated in a timely manner. This is the lowest rate of the 50 largest school districts studied. DPS expends $7,469 per pupil. Marin County California school system expends $6,579 and has a four year graduation rate of 96.8%. Where do you suppose the money goes in the Detriot Public Schools?
