Hey, hey.. short? I'm short! Does this mean I can have CANDY?! Haha. No, seriously though, since we don't have the Halloween-ish celebrations/trick-or-treating over here (as much as the states) I can't say I agree [maybe I'm just not old enough yet =P].
This year however, I saw a lot more kids out tot-ing on my way home from uni.
Rude people are annoying, whether it's candy related or not.
It's hard to tell from your videos, but you don't strike me a being very short. Of course, half my extended familiy and most of my friends from college are of Asian descent, so I probably have a slightly skewed idea of what short is. Everything is relative, I guess. When I visited my wife's relatives in Taiwan I was treated like a giant ( I'm 6 feet, 1 inch ), but for my Dad's side of the family, I'm less than average height.
Haha! My videos have all been shot in such a way that you can't really tell. In saying that, I'm not abnormally short, just asian. I guess I'm tall-ish for some North-Asians but in comparison to a lot of South-Asians, short. And in relation to a lot of my mates.. short. I guess engineering doesn't help there. Haha.
Oh, oh, oh! Now I know why your children are so cute! Halfies/hybrids (I hope that doesn't sound rude) are definately the CUTEST kids in the world. They also grow up to be pretty darn attractive. I always tell my halfie friends that they're probably the hottest people around, and it's so true -they get the best of both worlds!
Yes, I think I'm going to be a little jealous of them someday. I was far too shy/awkward to have a girlfriend in High School ( or most of college ), but I have a feeling that my boys are going to have to beat off all the girls with a stick some day.
I trick or treated in the latter days of the polite era of grateful kids...the late 60's and early 70's. We said trick or treat, let them toss in what they wanted and then ran to the next house because it was a race for maximum candy and nothing would have been gained by slowing down. We'd get home, toss the popcorn balls, apples, oranges and black licroce and then we'd categorize the loot. Good times. :)
I'm bit younger than you ( Born January 1970 ), but I also got to enjoy the days of guilt-free Halloween candy. We got as much as we could and ate as much as we could.
I have to agree-- maybe not about the age, but I feel if you're not enjoying the spirit of it and just doing it for the fun of the day and just doing it for candy, maybe you should stop.
And the being rude just plain kills it, especially when they want more candy or ruin the "honor system"
I'm 19 and don't really go trick or treating much, but if I plan to I go deck to the 9's and really make sure to have fun with it, even if I just wind up taking a younger kid, or even handing out candy.
I actually don't have a problem with most kids - just the rude ones and the ones that are way too old. I think trick-or-treating up to the age of 12 ( end of elementary school ) is okay assuming the kids don't get too greedy. I'm actually not that upset - it's just that my wife was complaining about rude trick-or-treaters all week, and I thought it might be a little bit fun to do a rant on the subject.
is it the end of the world that a few teenagers came to the door and drove clam the fuck down

I'm 19 and I still trick or treat.
I wear a costume, so I deserve free candy.
You are never too old to trick or treat.

If your still willing to dress up like an idiot, your still 'young' enough to trick-or-treat.
