  • What came first, wanting to do an expert village video, or the cut....

  • FUCKING BITCH!!!!

next time she should cut her own arm... would love to see how she would like that!

  • What the heck why are the frickin outtakes in this vid dont start over or film it just help the girl

  • Just pour some rubbing alcohol clean up blood pour more alcohol and call it a day don't be such a puss kids that's how my mom did it and that's the way am going to do it kills everything a few cells won't hurt.

  • ... I dont think shes actually bleeding guys

  • or you can not put gloves on wipe the blood away dab some peroxide on there and put on a band aid lmao much easier.

  • how not to clean a wound:

1.) dont video tape on how to do it and just clean the damn thing

2.) if your kids already bleeding STOP WATCHING THIS AND HELP HIM/HER!!!

  • Comment removed

  • :21 If she starts crying again I'll cut her other arm and start over.

    This video is fucked lol

  • WTF just help the little girl ! shes bleeding and the lady is just trying to get the take done perfectly. ( not trying to be a hater but the editing was very poor)

  • this is so funny

  • had worst but good job

  • that's just a scratch. you could just leave it alone and let it heal its not a laceration or divulsion

  • why did this get so many dislikes?

  • @XxSnykeXx because they set all this up and took all this time while the poor kid is bleeding and freaking out

  • change the water...

  • So cleaning the wound, you have not actually cleaned any crap out of it!!!

Sterile Swab, One Wipe, throw, repeat.

Yes it will hurt but an infection will hurt more

I have removed scabs and made a wound bleed before to remove dirt from wound when it was not cleaned the first time

  • its fake

  • Waaait, you rinse it, and then you're allowed to rinse it again with he SAME WATER? You're just taking the all the crap you rinsed off and slathering it all over the wound again.

  • @aslashappypills i totally agree :)

  • Not even worth a star to be honest! Tracy who did you do a first aid course with because this is not up to date and in my job as a paramedic i would be sued and fired if i did that on a patient! GET A REFRESH/UPDATE COURSE! preferably before you make someones wound septic and stop teaching the world incorrect first aid!!!

  • puting water on a cut speardes and starts infection because bacteria only needs water to thrive

  • too long on the gloves??? HOW BOUT TOO LONG ON TELLING HER !

  • i bet she got hurt purposely

  • For those who dont understand....the girl is NOT really wounded...that is NOT real blood and no one is hurting.

This is a teaching video they are making and they gave you accurate information.

I have been in healthcare for over 40 years and this advice was correct.

Calling people names is not necessary and does nothing to contribute.

  • @WinyanStaz Why are you on this video if you've been doing this for 40 years?

And at one point she rinses the girls arm, and then puts the cup into the SAME pool that she rinsed into and rinses again. Isn't that just dumping all the dirt you washed off back onto the wound? I can't see why you wouldn't use a faucet instead. Please enlighten me?

  • i dont think expert village watches the videos before they put it up

  • god the girl is in pain and all she cares about is gettung the gloves on

  • you do it with 3% hidrogen not with water...

  • this gurls a dumbass

  • omg the girls bleeding and all they care about is a perfect script what an asshole lol

  • @irelandcool1 i thought it's just fake blood. they just try to teach people how to do first aid

  • just wash it in the sink and put a band-aid on!

  • Omg, SHE'S NOT EVEN A LICENSED MEDICAL PRACTITIONER. Everything in this video is so wrong.

  • lolwut fail

  • @leeboy566 its fake hahaha

  • fail much!!

  • None of that would work w/ my daughter when she was little, b/c she was a wild cat when it came to being in sudden pain.

Her dad always had to help me calm her down, and we had to turn her face away so she couldn't see the blood.

  • edit fail ? haha nice

  • nice job editing it

  • Am I the only one that noticed the editing fail?

  • wow i fell bad for this kid!!! that mom is treibile!!!

  • If you don't have gloves, you can ask the patient to put his or her hand over the wound.

I always have gloves b/c of my work, but not everybody has them right on hand.

You can use a towel or cloth to cover the wound. Being resourceful is a necessity in first aid training.

  • That wound does not look minor. It's longer than 3 inches for one thing. If it has any depth, you'll need to take the child to the Emergency Department.

If it's bleeding a lot, you need to stop the flow of blood first by using direct pressure.

Over the next few days, monitor the cut to make sure it doesn't become infected.

I'm a paramedic, and say so only b/c we were trained to give our credentials.

  • Ok i fell from a stick going thro my foot and its been 4 days since and the wound turned white is that bad? and the wound is about an inch deep what should i do? Its between my small toe and my 2 to last toe where the seaperation is.

  • clean water? there's no such thing as clean water anymore.

  • @TeslaDRay Clean water makes the wound bleed even more.

  • @MrJtl2299 They like it to bleed a little right at first, b/c it washes out any dirt that could cause an infection.

  • That was........weird.

  • hahahahah!!! fail with the gloves

  • when you auctully do this alot it gets harder expecially when you have weird ones.

  • u made tht girls sit their and bleed so u can do a video u probly cut her thts fucked up

  • It's casualty simulation blood. Fake

  • correct.

  • you know, they do have stuff that is red and looks like blood... doesn't take a PHD to figure that out. :(

  • The bacteria & dirt will just go back into the wound. So what would be the point of even cleaning the wound in this case when you are actually making the wound worse? Finally you never dry a wound.

  • you can auctully dry around it. just not the wound. and to answer your question it auctully removes bacteria.

  • You can. Not a great idea to use a towel though. Would have been better to use an ABD pad or some sterile gauze

  • yeah I can agree but it's one of thoes things, you have what you have.

  • I have learned that a pressure bandage works well for a sub. band aid. that's if your like me and say good luck finding a band aid. Lol.

  • lol. Ya, a pressure bandage/ ABD works great for severe bleeds. This is pretty minor. Wipe the excess blood away, leaves you with, most likely a minor laceration.

  • see when I even try to look for a band aid the box seems to dissapear so I have to yell across the room. lol. if you were to look at my room, good luck finding one. and yes it's a good idea to use stuff more on the sterile side.

  • lol, yes I know what that was like before I started doing first aid.

True, the sterile thing is good, but sometimes you have to improvise and make-do with what readily available materials you have. Are in any first aid organization? Red Cross? or something?

  • I have given thought but I just read my parents old EMT text books from like 6ish years ago. Every time I try to sign up something happens like one of my family members is having spine surgery, that's the stuff that prevents me from doing it.

  • ya, things like that can alter your plans. When the times right I am sure you get involved with some organization.

  • I'm positive. Even my mom has always asked me if she wanted to take the course with her. The time will be right VERY soon. This surgery may kill my family member so idk... soo many surgeries... 25 in the past 25 years.

  • aww wow 25. That's alot. But, everything will most likely work out for the best. This stuff just takes time. Sometimes, alot.

  • true. I wouldn't even dry the wound unless I had sterile gauze. It can just contaminate the wound area more.

  • I know the blood shown is this video is special effects make-up, when the first aid attendant rinsed the wound, the water emptied into the basin. After, she dipped a clean towel in the (dirty blood filled water,) (Wound will get contaminated further.) Then when she rinsed the soap off, she used that same dirty water in the basin. When she dried the wound she wiped all around it- wipe away from wound. Wiping around the wound like she did will contaminate the wound more.

  • Soap and water to clean a wound works, but sterile saline is recommended.

  • She really needs to learn how to take her gloves off properly.

  • get yourself a large (60ml or more) syringe and use that for irrigation
