This is a real foxbody. Not a GT with some light mods. A built motor in a non-GT with some chunky rear tires, some prostars, and a nice paint job. Nice stang. (chevy guy)

@JayBird90210 The 1984 and 1985 5.0 mustang had throttle body injection if it was an automatic car (5 speed model came with a four barrel holley). 1986 was the first year of multiport fuel injection. But the 1983 mustang gt turbo was a fuel injected turbocharged 2.3 four cylinder.

You are right and the other poster is "half-right". Running open headers especially when the weather is real cold can lead to a burned valve, because the engine can suck cold dense air. As far as this car is concerned, I like it and it sounds pretty damn good.

It absolutely wouldn't mess up the motor, in fact, it would make a beast out of your car. Just go ahead and do all the work yourself, a cam swap would only take 15 minutes and you don't need to do anything else.

Could you give me a price estimate for all the parts on that powerplant on wheels. I am going to purchase a fox body, but i would like to know which year is the "best" if there even is one. I like all body styles especially 88 to 93, but is there an all around best year for stock performance and/or the most customization friendly.

ive got a 93 and everything ive done SO far has been kind easy.. if u want VERY easy then the early models are pretty easy to work on i have a 68 as well.

anything from 87-93 is good.mostly all had the same motor,302-306ci. i would go with any.

the 91-93 had more room in the front fender for widert ires, but that's not really important if you're using it for rag purposes.

Hey man, I'm going to be buying one also in the new year!! If your gonna buy one, get an 89!!! They are the first year for Mass air flow, they are the last year for tilt steering, and they have all the same performance as the 90-93 minus some few colour on the body panels and interirior!!! If you can't find an 89, then buy like an 87-88, and change the speed desity system to a mass air, but u may not have to change it for a while if your just doing like an exhaust, cold air intake, basic stuff!

thanks guys, not selling it anytime soon at all. the cam was a custom grind comp cams solid roller around .630 lift. heads were afr 225s and it was open headers. they are prostars. hope that helps
