    issam

  • the best project nowadays

  • Your videos are great.... I look forward to seeing more and more... If you need assistance of any kind, just tell us , we may be useful...

  • It's great what Project Hope is doing. I hope to one day be able to volunteer with you guys and also to re-connect with a friend in Nablus I lost contact wtih. All the best to you guys!

  • hey thx alot for your support to palestne..it is much appreciated... great idea...

  • Hi I'm a Palestinian and I really love what you guys are doing. YOU ROCK!!

  • By the way, what's the name of this song?

  • "The Numa Numa song," or more formally "Dragostea din Tei". It's infamous in the vlogging world... See the Wikipedia entry under "Numa Numa" , and what's probably one of the best parody videos by Brookers on YouTube (search for "brookers numa") . I'd still like to see a "Numa Numa" version from Palestine, but there's another music video idea that comes before that, if I can get my friend in Ramallah to shoot the video! :-)

  • I really respect you for the work you've done. You're right, even though there are ample amounts of sterotypes about other races and ethnic groups that exist today, social networking will over come these social barriers, Inshalah. Keep up the good work!!

  • Palestine is not supposed to be funny, it's sad

it is an entire army against poor civilians

  • I hear you and respect your opinion. When I returned to Palestine in July, it was tough - Nablus was invaded, Lebanon was attacked, Gaza was attacked, and I saw more poverty than my last time there.

It was hard, but after soul-searching with my friends in Palestine, I still believe in my project. Palestine is so much *more* than the conflict, and I intend to show some of it over the coming months and years. I've got this summer's video, and a video camera with friends in Nablus to work with.

  • I think this is a great idea - go for it!

  • The video left me wondering what the heck is this all about. After I went to the site and read the overview in PDF I had a better Idea. But How do you think in an under developed country like Palestine podcasting will work, where computers are a luxury?

  • That's an interesting point. After spending a little over a week in Nablus, there are obstacles, but maybe not what one might expect.

Computers are actually quite available, though they are often older, and in public places. They do tend to be slow. A bigger technical problem is internet connectivity. People do have DSL, but the speed is pretty awful.

That said, a bigger problem is training. It's not easy but the project seems achievable.

  • Interesting...It funny how people are uneducated about other cultures. Many living in the west(including me) are unaware of what life is really like in 3rd world countries.

  • Interesting project. Best of luck on it! Writer/Activist Arundhati Roy spoke about the Palestinians / Israeli's in her Come September speech. Those words were visualized in the WE documentary. A clip of the Israel/Palestine segment can be found right here on YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vnaf8R_SJo

  • remove the american flag right now !!!

  • I think I understand where you're coming from, but I respectfully disagree. A flag is a symbol that can stand for a lot of things. Here, the American flag stands for the noble aspects of the US. It particularly stands for self-determination, freedom, and seperation of church and state: all values that are completely consistent with the Palestinian flag right next to it.

Besides, I am American, and I do love my country. I love Palestine too, and I see no contradiction.

  • Yes...But america supports the enemy

  • I don't want to belabor this, but I think you mean that the American _government_ supports some really bad policies. Don't confuse a government with the people who live under it, and try to understand that a flag can stand for more than just a government.

Yeah, the American flag has been dragged through the mud by some awful governmental decisions, but the symbol is ours to reclaim, as a symbol of what is noble and good in the U.S.

  • Yes, i did mean the americain government, but most of the people that live in america also support these bad policies. There isn't anything good and noble in the U.S there as selfish and greedy as those isrealies.
