Was the movie "The Last Man on Earth" with Vincent Price based on the same book as this movie and "I am Legend"? Or do they just have similar premises? Either way, it doesn't matter how corny this movie gets at times, it's danged freaky! Of course, it's a little more so for me... I first saw it alone in the middle of the night as a tween. That's what I got for staying up late...

I am legend is total garbage and Will Smith is a douche! The Omega man is so much better in just every way. As far as the CGI in I am legend it sucks. All CGI sucks in all films. When I see CGI in a film I know they took the easy cheap way out, Ray Harryhausen didn't need CGI.

Yes, odd that, as all the buildings were infested during the day. Perhaps the mutants couldn't afford the cinema on a regular basis, so it was fairly safe during the matinee.

those are actually mutants, wich have nearly everything what makes a vampire, that concept draws the image of the classic vampire into the scientific world seeing vampirism as kind of illness wich lies in the genes, that makes them atleast to a mutated creature, to mutants.
