  • 4 people won't remember things we said today...

  • 1964: The Beatles - Things We Said Today

2012: The B-Telz feat. Georgy M - Thingz We Tweeted Today

  • Brings back Loving memories of my Childhood!! Thank you Paul John George and Ringo !

  • I love this song!

  • What a great song! The Beatles had so many great songs , that I didn't notice what a great song this was untill today.

  • Please stop talkig and discussing and enjoy this timeless classic music made by geniuses.

  • One of the many great bands of the 60's.

  • @69ssrszl1 "One of the many great bands of the 60's."

WTF - are you serious or just trolling? This is the greatest band of all time!

  • @myrtlebox I missed part of this conversation - who are they trying to raise above the Beatles? Black Oak Arkansas? 'Jim Dandy to the RESCUE !!!'

  • @69ssrszl1

    "one of the many"?????

  • @iwuvjimsturgess Too true! I have loved Paul McCartney and his beautiful voice all my life and am not about to stop! Nothing will ever compare to these amazing men, especialy Paul. He will live forever! I only wish I had been alive back when this was being made, so I could have seen all of them alive, but as it is YouTube will have to do. R.I.P George and John.

  • the harmonies on this song are astonishing. nearly 50 years ago.

  • @colj1970 That is Paul harmonizing with himself.

  • They all have their own unique sound, but Paul's voice is just beautiful. <3

  • @PaulSaysShezam It's not just their raw voices, it is what their voices become when blended together...especially John/Paul.

  • Minor chords give this song a chilly, melancholic feel, more like Lennon's work. Lennon particularly liked this McCartney composition.

  • Those who don't appreciate this song are musically blind.

  • People that love the Beatles once in their life, will find that one time lasts a lifetime.

  • When people say, "Paul's voice sounds like Jesus's." It's more like "Jesus's voice sounds like Paul's" I will love Paul McCartney until the day I die!!!!!!!!! <3

  • Esta cancion es de mis preferidas de the beatles son los mejores

  • que pedazo de cancion esto es musica!

  • This music is nearly 50 years old and it still sounds great. That is testament enough for me that the Beates are one of the most significant bands of the 20th Century, despite what any detractors might say. No point in criticising the recordings in the light of what modern technology can now achieve either. This stuff is primitive I agree. But all they were doing was repackaging stuff they'd heard comiong out of America and selling it back to them.

  • @mediumal57 Too true and all without their voices being dubbed or tweaked just pure harmonies the beatles will stand the test of time which cant be said of 99% of the modern trash churned out today

  • @mediumal57

Agreed. But I think their significance transcends recording technology, genre's, haircuts or whatever. What they had, and what they shared was simply put, pure magic. I can't think of the word I want to use, so I'll stick with "pure magic". Yes, they were heavily influenced by American music, but through them, the alchemy is indefinable, hence, the timeless attraction.

  • driving and listening

  • I agree with you below (" The painted Oddity 82" ) Can you just listen to the damm song please!! My goodness sake, there is no need for the nonsense I continue to read in the comments section on this or any other page where BEATLES music is found. Why the "F" bombs? Why even blog or talk during this soothing music? SHUT UP!! & ENJOY !!

  • Very underrated song.

  • i fucking hate people...fuck people. but i love the beatles :)

  • Wow . . . I feel like I'm 12 again listening to this . . . riding my bike . . . without a care in the world. Before life kicked me in the ass.

  • The John/ Paul / Harmonys on this are what make it a gem as much as the wicked Spanish guitar strumming .

  • What's wrong with you people? Can't we just listen to the song?

  • Look when this came out no one had anything like this. I know, I was there. Haunting melody. Genius.

  • What the fuck junk crap are you people talking about?? I mean Genocide??? Stop eating mushrooms, take your fingers out of your arses and up your noses!!! WTF RU talking about????? This is great music; shut the fuck off!!

  • damn it i cant find that damned song... it sooo awsome i herd it on the radio

  • u hate this u can't get the rytyhm I can

  • Every album was its own musical "genre."

  • i get trapped here every time i visit. Is that a bad thing? not for me, love the Beatles many thanks for posting!!

  • It is literally impossible to have a top-10 Beatles list.

....actually...It is difficult to have a top-100 list.

  • Another song to add to the brilliant, underrated list my god theres so many.

  • This is a ballad, a bit speeded

  • One of Paul McCartney's top songs.

  • youl be thinking of me , somehow i will know--that line has always got me.

  • Dude the Holocaust is over and there is nothing we can do about it. This is beautiful and transcends tragedy. Don't taint it, you fuckwads.

  • Do our words fail us when it comes to this band?...Shit!

  • I have yet in 40 plus years in the music business I haven't found a more profound band. Iconic lyrics and true trend setters making music well ahead of their time. I don't think the Beatles will ever be forgotten for their music is as vibrant and real as the time it was released. Long live the Beatles!

  • ... Replay. Replay. Replay. Replay. Replay.

    You get the picture.

  • well, i am 42. Been listening to it, since 14. Wow:)

  • my yr6 teacher was a fan of the beatles, and in one lesson, he had AHDN album cover as his desktop picture, and me, not knowing much of the beatles, asked him, "why do you have so many people's faces doing wierd things on your desktop?"

  • sometimes i sound like a lesbian, singing beatles songs.

  • the best band EVERR......

  • How the hell can ANYBODY hate The Beatles?!?

  • So beautiful, so haunting...

  • They found their voices in Germany in the clubs. Wrote their main songs on their first albums. Hitler was the dark enigma in Germany and over Liverpool's poor economic picture.

  • Hey, people, enough about genocide! Just listen to and enjoy this gem of a Beatles song. One of their very best!

  • Things we said today is such a beautiful song, Here's another one you may like from a man named Pete Yorn, the song is called " A Girl Like You" youtube.com/watch?v=ocm_HtLFt14

  • .@kimsollecito I know. He looks like Pete Townshend of "The Who."

  • What a ridiculous statement. Saying you can ignore genocide if you look at it "as a Beatles fan" is like saying, "As a fan of CourtTV I sure am glad OJ butchered those two people. It sure made for some intriguing and entertaining viewing." Are "Beatles fans" some kind of special species who have nothing to do with the rest of the world?

You are a highly disturbed individual. Better get yourself together, join the human race.

  • @CincyDude5 Again, you fail to understand the statement. I was bringing the situation into a different light. I'm saying "as Beatles fans," not meaning that Beatles fans IGNORE anything but the Beatles, but ONLY looking at the Beatles and nothing else, Hitler isn't really involved, therefore we have nothing against him. (But only when it comes to the Beatles.) It's simply a different way to look at a situation. I'm sorry if you're too narrow-minded to see that.

  • @xrockxxandxxrollerxx urm..i "beatles fan" ignore everything but the beatles...hehee..sorry i just had to butt in there....

  • @xrockxxandxxrollerxx i always compare beatles fans with "religiuos fans". i dont' understand why there's people obsesed with the idea that the beatles is the best group ever, saying that they anticipated to "almost all" genres, that were pioneering in everything and a sort of lies. i LIKE the beatles, i like this song , but i cannot say that they were geniuses cos there are a lot of groups far better and far original: velvet under, frank zappa, king crimson, pere ubu, the residents etc...

  • @progreadicto I don`t know about fans but I have heard music historians say that the beatles changed the course of rock/pop music.

  • @MrMGD92 yes, that's true, but the beatles' revolution was SOCIAL (psychosocial for being exactly), not "musical". more in pop than in rock. rock music contiuned writing his history: progressive rock, punk, industrial music, psycheldelia, has NOTHING in common or no have to pay tribute to them. maybe a lot of groups were "influenced" by them but this influence dont play an important role (king crimson for exmaple), they influenced strongly in "oasis", but they are only a mediocre band.

  • @progreadicto Well I gess we`ll have to agree to disagree on this, but I have heard music historians say they change the course of MUSIC aswell as social,I have heard bands say the reason they formed was because of the beatles.

  • @MrMGD92 yes, the same music historicians that say that michael jackson and madonna change the history of music. the musicians that really change rock music was: bob dylan, frank zappa, velvet underground, pink floyd, soft machine, king crimson, ramones, etc... the only thing i want to say is that I LIKE the beatles, all his 13 albums, etc... but the music they composed is not of the same quality (or revolutionary) as the music that composed the bands i named. that's all

  • @progreadicto Frank Zappa is a great guitarist but better than the beatles? The proof is that their music is still great today as it was then. i used to think the Stones were better in my younger years but i know better now.

  • @1headedsouth Frank zappa is the best rock composer: he blends rock, clasical, jazz and avantgarde in a sonic collage that no one in rock music could repeat again. just listen compositions like brown shoes dont make it , king kong , little house i lived, all of them masterpieces, not pop ditties, and like him there's a lot of examples: velvet underground, captain beefheart, king crimson, the residents, pere ubu, etc... all of them placed rock at the high art level.

  • @xrockxxandxxrollerxx it's a pretty poor way to look at a situation, to only see how someone's actions effect music and not people's lives

  • @CincyDude5 Doesn't xrockxxandxxrollerxx realize that Hitler was blitzkrieging England about the time the Beatles were born? And as children they suffered, because most of England was on rations, and lived in poverty and starved for years after WWII? Weird statement. And not in a good way. This is coming from a Beatles fan.

  • @pataphysician66 I mean my statement is coming from a Beatles fan (myself)

  • Comment removed

  • @CincyDude5 Music is not a competition.... just enjoy it guys.... stop with all the fighting ....please !!

  • It's funyn how RIngo looks the most handsome out of all the Beatles members on the cover art.

  • una de las canciones pilares , un clasico con un sonido hipnotico

  • first grunge stuff :))

  • Trying to decide what your favorite Beatles song is like trying to decide who you hate more, Hitler or Mark Chapman.

  • @itsbridgetlogann Actually, as Beatles fans, we don't have anything personal against Hitler. And in fact, if it weren't for him, we wouldn't have ever had a post-WWII society... And as we all know, it was that scene that helped form the music we love. So, in a weird way, Hitler contributed to that music... While MDC took it away.

  • @xrockxxandxxrollerxx

Lets see, Hitler personally ordered the deaths or helped cause the deaths of, say, 50 million people. The Beatles wrote some spiffy tunes. So hey, I guess is all worked out OK. It's all good! Forgive and forget, right?

    You, sir, are S-I-C-K.

  • @CincyDude5 I'm sorry, SIR, but I DID specify "AS BEATLES FANS." In other words, that statement does not take into consideration anything but the Beatles. I didn't say anything about the big picture. Learn to read. ;) Twat.

  • @xrockxxandxxrollerxx I will say for itsbridgetlogann that your response was just very weird. I think you missed her point.

  • @xrockxxandxxrollerxx Hitler tried to bomb Lennon BEFORE he was born.He only contributed by failing...

  • @morsimaniman Your logic fails. Your argument is invalid.

  • @xrockxxandxxrollerxx What? When lennon was born in 1940,the goose steppin, oxygen waistin, brainwashed Nazis were trying to kill as many Liverpudlians as possible with a bombing campaign. If they'd hit his Mother, there would have been no Lennon thus no beatles,I've heard rumors that there are people as thick as you,but I never quite believed it till now. Please reply and bury yourself some more as it humours me.

  • @morsimaniman Hitler didn't have it personally out for John, bro. Don't be so daft. He couldn't have known John existed, which is my point.

  • @itsbridgetlogann no, it'd be like trying to decide if you hate Mark Chapman or cancer more... Just sayin'...

  • @itsbridgetlogann mark chapman

  • every beatles song is an a side

  • complicated rythms and innovative chords...!

  • My favorite song of The Beatles is.....really?....c'mon. Thats like sayin' my favorite breath of the day is...

  • @paulfuckinmccartney So freaking true!

  • My favorite song of The Beatles is.....really?....c'mon.

  • luv it

  • love all this beattles music soo much

  • I would like the White Stripes to cover this tune...top 10 best Beatles track for sure :)

  • My ears just came.

  • omg beatles have sooooo many great songs! the amount of songs is Amazing! a new song for everyday! :D ♥

  • I was 12 years old - The Beatles were the acceptable face of the new music - I was recovering from being assaulted and having my arm broken - these songs are indelibly imprinted in my mind!....

  • 2:39 long Eargasm Achieved

  • @banzaillamas with your fingers Bitch

  • You had to be alive when The Beatles were together, they ruled the airwaves.

  • McCartney's pitch is a bit wobbly, but this is an interesting piece written partly in A minor, giving the song a dark and sombre feeling.

  • @portcreditdave Fuck You! Paul's pitch isnt wobbly at ALL!! Check your hearing if you think so. Bitch.

  • @Iamrandom16 Sorry fella, but it is - and I love the Beatles. Look at that Truth Contest - The Beatles thing (Google it). Its true. I just knew it when I was a kid and listening to Rubber Soul. Changed my life man. Pauls wobbly.... so what.... youre intolerant.... chill fella we all have opinions.... some are better informed than others. Peace and Love

  • @portcreditdave I'm not going to argue your point, but you have to know you're not going to get anyone to have kind words for you here where people think the Beatles are so infalible.

  • @portcreditdave yup - and I love the lift to the RnB style 'middle eight'!!!!! (Beatles in-joke) ;-)

  • I just had a bad break up, I lost my love. But she will always be in my heart....Peace and thx for the great music

  • @peacemanken It aint over til its over, and when it truly is over, you wont hurt so much :) Keep your head up!

  • @QUEENSTINA Thank you for your kind words, But I'm cursed with relationships.....Peace

  • This is an ordinary Beatles song...not considered one of their best...but the vitality, imagination, professionalism, and excellence...even here...is of a very, very high level.

  • Desde México, lo Mejor , esto si es musica.

  • I would easily include 'Things we said today' as one of the seven wonders of the world.

  • @Emerystreet No. bull. you know what's one of the wonders of the world?

  • It sure is 'lateforthesky61'. no one could've put it better.

  • I love you Rock and Roller hahaha! Your bringing all the Beatles songs onto youtube, its amazing! Definitely subscribing to you.

  • I work at the Olive Garden and on their soundtrack they play one of them is a Lounge-ish version of this song. It's complete shit and everytime it comes on I wonder why the hell they couldn't play the original. Covering a Beatles song is like covering Beethoven

  • Absolute maturity and confidence in songwriting. They kept growing and improving with each LP. This song was a major turning point. The minor chords give it a melancholy twist while the hopefulness of the words brings the joy.

  • love this song so much :)

  • 1 person mist the like button

  • Great song from a great album!!!

  • Each of their albums was an "era". Hard to believe the "eras" they had during one decade. Unprecedented. Only Led Zep comes close and in the modern era U2.

  • Lennon and McCartney...

Just how they wrote ALL OF THIS in such a short period of human history on our little blue ball in the middle of infinity...

IS one of the great mysteries of the universe!

  • @lateforthesky61 blows you away!!

  • @lateforthesky61

    I quite agree!!

  • @lateforthesky61 it's not a mistery, the answer is: THEY ARE PART OF THE BEATLES. yeah, for me this answer it all. HAHA :P

  • @lateforthesky61 my sentiments exactly,well said

  • Definitely one of McCartney's best moments.

  • One my best of the beatles song.

  • I've loved this song for so many years, it's really impossible for me to decide which is my favorite Beatles song, but this one is somewhere near the top of the list. Thanks for uploading!!!
