How can we stop millions of Americans from watching the phony "news" about what's really going on in the occupied territories and the jewish town ? Why is it that Europeans know what is really going on there and American don't? People need to unplug their TV sets and open their eyes to reality. This movie does it!
Maybe it's the Europeans that are watching the "phoney" news. There's media bias on both continents, and it's up to each individual to inform themsleves, without blindly accepting everything the media presents.
The fact that you refer to Israel as the "jewish town" speaks more about you than anyone else. Educate yourself about the thousands of Arabs who advocate the state of Isreal, and speak their minds regardless of deathe threats from Palestian extremists. Stop blaming the victim for protecting themselves.
Learn the objective history about how Israel has been attacked from the first day they were given a small patch of land to cultivate and call their own. Learn about the Arab countries who rejected the Palestians after Egypt,Jordan, and Syria declared war on Israel and tried to destroy it, to steal the small province that was given to them after WW2. Learn about how the Jews have been expelled more that any other group from just about every country they lived in.
Learn the fact that Israel readily allows Arabs to citizen ship, while every other Arab country would never welcome any Israeli in their own countries.
Learn that the IDF exhausts themselves to no end to avoid civilian deaths, while the Palesitian extremists have been known to intentionally place civilians in their path, and then blame Israel. Learn about Palestinian children, who read textbooks which contain some of the most horrid lies about Jews and Israel, including singing songs with lyrics that call Israelis monkeys, and dirty filth.
You won't see that in an Israeli school. Learn about how doctors regularly put themselves in danger, to cross the line and give medical care, and save lives everyday. Who's eyes are closed to reality?
you are totally defeating the purpose of this movie... true there a lot of good people on the israeli side but why don't you want to see that there are a lot of good people on palestinian side as well?
just go back to all your comments and see how one-sided it is... are you telling me that there are no israelis that teach hatred towardss palestinians (or muslims ingenera)? etc etc... (ctd in another comment)
thanks!.. this comment says a lot about you... it's better that you don't comment on behalf of israelis because you don't help with self image at all... lol...
sad... truly sad... you just didn't have anything to say because you knew you were wrong so you had to tell me to "eat shit"... but that's fine... i only hope for you to lose your ego more and more and see yourself as a part of the human community and analyze things more objectively...
(ctd....) instead of breeding hatred here again just listen to the message of the film and just try to see the point of view of your opposite side, even if only in the points you have raised here...
lets hope for peace every where in the world and let do our part about this!
This is a rare film on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict that is simultaneously real, unsparing and incredibly inspiring. In all those hours of saturation media coverage, these people are the unsung heroes you rarely see.
I was fortunate enough to see "Encounter Point" in a 'preview' and I can recommend it wholeheartedly. It's hard-hitting, poignant, and filled with wonderful, heroic real-world Israelis and Palestinians. The scene depicting the Palestinian "Ali" as he visits young, injured Arabs in a Bethlehem rehab hospital -- to advocate for non-violence -- is an eye-opener.
i just saw this film tonight and it was amazing!
