This is the most defining moment of Seinfeld. This is when Larry David reached the penicle of his creative genius. A show about a guy who is trying to get a show that is about nothing. So epically amazing. Alot of people don't understand the humour of seinfeld, I always tell people to watch "The Pitch" because it defines how absolutely genius this show is.
@sparkoflifemedia This is how sitcoms should be. I would watch reruns of Seinfeld before I watch any of the crap on TV today. This show is not for the ineptly minded, it has many references and a witty charm that far surpasses anything else I have seen. I love this show!
@TABRUTAL Watch Larry David's current show, Curb Your Enthusiasm. It's even better than Seinfeld because he doesn't have to limit his humor anymore to keep his material family friendly. And I don't mean cussing...episodes like the one with the "miraculous" tear on Jesus' eye are absolutely classic, but they could never have done something like that via Seinfeld. Also, The Office (the original British one, not the crappy American one) and Extras by Ricky Gervais are intelligent and hilarious, too
This is great!! If you notice whenever they play this episode on Fox or TBS, they always cut out George saying "I want salsa, not seltzer!" I always wondered why they do that I mean its pretty hilarious and not really offensive. Maybe it was an edited for time allotment or something like that.
@whtdouwantme2say Yeah good call. It was on TBS yesterday (I take it you saw it based on the time of your comment) and I was looking forward to hearing George say that but it was cut...most likely for time reasons
I don't know if this make sence, but what is that at 0:16-0:17 (the melody in the last line) I've heard it several times in Seinfeld. Is it a New York thing?
It's funny because on the "How it Started" DVD, this how they came up with Seinfeld.
