cont'd - After all that then my husband had a stroke and was in the hospital for two months, my job became unbearable and my stress levels hit all time highs. About five months after my husband's stroke my pain starting coming back, then the weight started coming back. It's now been 2 1/2 years since my husband's stroke, I've gained 70 lbs back and my pain is excruciating. I no longer have insurance, and I'm at my wits end...... There are now treatments but who can afford insurance???
I was diagnosed with FMS and MP over 15 years ago. I underwent six months of trigger point injections of lidocaine followed by intense muscle massage. It greatly helped, but not until I had my knee replaced and surgery on a congenital foot ailment did my symptoms completely go into remission. I also lost 90 pounds in the process.
I am a recovered fibromyalgic who left the care of the medical profession to discover the cause and cure for this horrific disease after 15 years of failed treatments. I understand this illness completely from the inside and back out again. Symptoms are often mistaken as a cause and what can help does not cure. Please, do not give up and keep going. See my You Tube video "Curing Chronic Fibromyalgia - Choosing What Works" and my best wishes to you all!!!
I don't know who marked you as spam, and I have not checked your ideas, but I have experienced that Fibromyalgia is a syndrome related to diet and stress. Trigger point therapy helps get the TrP's, but only temporarily because the TrP's are only a symptom of the syndrome. One of my clients "had" Fibromyalgia for years, but it subsided after a legal battle ended and she got married. Surely TrP Therapy is better than drugs which may kill you.
@trisoma1 Thank you for your response. Yes, poor diet (eating sugar and carbs for fast energy) and stress will exacerbate FMS symptoms, and correcting these influences will make the symptoms subside to a degree. Yes drug therapy only makes FMS worse over time, and encourages the downward spiral of deconditioning via their side effects. CURING FMS is another matter. My book contains my protocol for a lasting cure and comes out the first week in November, so check my website and read about me.
