  • Wrote a Lyme disease brochure with the help of 2 Lyme specialists. Will email to anyone interested. God bless, Elaine

  • What's lymes? And I may have to get one. Do they hurt?

  • @lollipopleahh123 Lyme Disease is a bacterial infection. It really sucks! I have to get a PICC soon because I have been treating my Lyme for over 10 months and it isn't getting better.

  • @lollipopleahh123 Getting it put in isn't really that bad. I had to get one when I was in the hospital for a week due to inflammatory bowel syndrome, which is when your colon or other parts of your digestive system gets inflamed. They numb the area with almost the same stuff as they use when they numb you at the dentist. The worst part is when they inject the local anesthetic. It stings a bit, but nothing too bad. I had mine removed today and I didn't feel a thing. No painkillers or anything!

  • oh my gosh that was quick....... made me feel a little weak,

  • Wow no gloves?

  • I'm getting mine removed anytime now, just waiting for the nurse to get here...

this video made me feel better about it, I was EXTREMELY frightened!

  • thank you for posting the video, I also got lymes, and have a picc for about two months,

could i please ask you a couple of questions, how long did you had to have the picc line?

you mention you recovered neuro function? could you please tell me what functions where does that you saw improvement?

and how long do you think you had lymes before you got detected ?

thank you so much for your feedback, this is quite an unnerving sickens

  • No pain at all... just had mine removed today, takes 10 seconds and you can go home. No big deal at all.

  • BLEK! Had one too...hated it!

  • lol i'm glad yours came out so nicely like that i had to go to the hospital because the one i had wouldn't come out...had it in for 6 weeks sucks so bad i feel your pain

  • HAHA I hate the tape pulling too my friend

  • thanks for this...I have to have mine removed today and I was really scared until I saw this....

  • @margerydaw42

glad i could help. it's really a good feeling getting the damn thing out. my dad has one in at the moment, as he is receiving chemotherapy treatment. he can't wait either. the first shower/bath you take afterwords is wonderful.

  • no, not even a little bit. it felt...a little weird. but the relief made up for that.

  • oh okay at least it didnt hurt but when u put in the antibiotics did it feel weird ??

  • did the picc line hurt when it was pulled out ? jw

  • Im having mine removed today. Major staph infection, Ive had it for 6 weeks-So glad to see the damned thing go. Well, glad but anxious-YOU understand. Thanks for the vid.

  • gross...i bet that felt odd

  • it did feel odd. not so much taking it out, but the antibiotics had to be cold when i put them in...

  • I had my PICC removed yesterday. Wish I had someone like my dad to do MINE! :)

  • that was my dad. he's a successful surgeon. removal is much less serious, and insertion was done in hospital. we both scrubbed up, used alcohol swabs, and neither of us ever touched the wound. not to mention that i was still dosed with a martini of powerful antibiotics. thank you for your concern. in general i agree with you, safety first. but in this instance, i was perfectly safe.

  • that looks like hell. how are you doing now?

  • much, much better. i regained all lost neuro function. thanks!

  • thats great! did you fail on oral antibiotics to start with ? my doc is considering picc line for me

  • no, i just caught my lyme disease a little late. i hope you didn't have to do the picc line, it's kinda inconvenient.

  • where are your gloves

  • Nice Celebrex commercial in the background.. lol. :P

  • hah, having my Picc changed/cleaned hurt!!!.. getting it removed was a snap and such a relief! I've had two so far and have to get one every time I go into the hospital..

  • I have hodgkin's disease. I can't wait till my PICC line is removed. It will be one of the best moments of my life when that time comes (maybe 4 months from now)

  • ???????

  • I have one of those and I am worried about getting it out! ahhh haha I betcha that was a happy day for you.

  • Thank you for showing what we as Lyme Patients must to go threw. This video bring back the memories of the one i had, it was a pain in the butt. Couldn't wait to get it out. I hope your doing well now.

    Roze

  • Yuck! That made me feel faint!

I hope it completely got rif of your Lyme disease. I am batteling with it right now, although not getting I.V antibiotics.
