@lollipopleahh123 Lyme Disease is a bacterial infection. It really sucks! I have to get a PICC soon because I have been treating my Lyme for over 10 months and it isn't getting better.
@lollipopleahh123 Getting it put in isn't really that bad. I had to get one when I was in the hospital for a week due to inflammatory bowel syndrome, which is when your colon or other parts of your digestive system gets inflamed. They numb the area with almost the same stuff as they use when they numb you at the dentist. The worst part is when they inject the local anesthetic. It stings a bit, but nothing too bad. I had mine removed today and I didn't feel a thing. No painkillers or anything!
lol i'm glad yours came out so nicely like that i had to go to the hospital because the one i had wouldn't come out...had it in for 6 weeks sucks so bad i feel your pain
glad i could help. it's really a good feeling getting the damn thing out. my dad has one in at the moment, as he is receiving chemotherapy treatment. he can't wait either. the first shower/bath you take afterwords is wonderful.
Im having mine removed today. Major staph infection, Ive had it for 6 weeks-So glad to see the damned thing go. Well, glad but anxious-YOU understand. Thanks for the vid.
that was my dad. he's a successful surgeon. removal is much less serious, and insertion was done in hospital. we both scrubbed up, used alcohol swabs, and neither of us ever touched the wound. not to mention that i was still dosed with a martini of powerful antibiotics. thank you for your concern. in general i agree with you, safety first. but in this instance, i was perfectly safe.
hah, having my Picc changed/cleaned hurt!!!.. getting it removed was a snap and such a relief! I've had two so far and have to get one every time I go into the hospital..
I have hodgkin's disease. I can't wait till my PICC line is removed. It will be one of the best moments of my life when that time comes (maybe 4 months from now)
Thank you for showing what we as Lyme Patients must to go threw. This video bring back the memories of the one i had, it was a pain in the butt. Couldn't wait to get it out. I hope your doing well now.
Wrote a Lyme disease brochure with the help of 2 Lyme specialists. Will email to anyone interested. God bless, Elaine

thank you for posting the video, I also got lymes, and have a picc for about two months,
could i please ask you a couple of questions, how long did you had to have the picc line?
you mention you recovered neuro function? could you please tell me what functions where does that you saw improvement?
and how long do you think you had lymes before you got detected ?
thank you so much for your feedback, this is quite an unnerving sickens
