Carlson was fun to watch in his fights. He always had a problem keeping his balance though, resulting in him often falling after throwing a haymaker.

although i enjoy hockey fights, it's sad to see little to no WHA highlight plays from the Howe line and from the Hull line (with nilsson and hedburg.)  From what i've heard, there was some beauties.

They say that Jack Carlson was the best fighter in the WHA and perhaps in the history of the game. The only carlson that missed out on being one of the Hanson brother most deserved it.

No he wasn't. He was sent up to the World Hockey Association playoffs before "Slapshot" started filming. His brothers Steve and Jeff had to play the Hansons without him. Jack was replaced by one of his real-life teammate at the time named Dave Hanson, who was supposed to play Dave "Killer" Carlson.
