The logitech illuminated is better than the gaming keyboards from logitech but it might not allow you to press enough keys at the same time. look up key ghosting it can be a real problem.

@589f1 For gaming i prefer Razer lycosa but for everyday use i prefer the logitech illuminated. The logitech illuminated is very quiet when typing at night and you don't want to make any noise also the white background keys are more lit then the lycosa. They both are good. Right now i use the lycosa because it matches my razer lachesis mouse both with blue leds.

please do tell....i have the lycosa now like you.....just got it in the mail about 3 days ago...and so far i really like it alot.....but i was wondering if you had any problems with your keys peeling or stop working? just curious.

Haha funny you asked about it. My 6 yr. old son was playing a game on my pc He was playing Counterstrike Source. He broke the "DOWN" key and when i was trying to click it back in place i damaged the key and had to send it back for warranty. Now i have a brand new logitech illuminated keyboard in an unopened box. I 'm using the razer lycosa now for a while. I guess the illuminated is not a keyboard for gaming escpecially not for kids.
