  • Damn that sound hella nice!!!

  • Just ordered mine today!

  • What a subtle sound, fuckin love it.

  • wish they still had this in production...

  • u got a bad head gasket or somethin ? y so much smoke

  • @ksegura14 early morning cold start; condensation.

  • Nice exhaust!!!

  • where did you purchase this exhaust?

im wanting to get this same one for my prelude

  • i have this same exhaust on my civic :) but the one thing i dont get is how on some hondas it has a deep nice sound but on some it sounds like bee's on steriods

  • because some people are smart and get BIG pipe.. like 2.25 or 2.5 in BEFORE the cat and after the header... and also if the header is a good one.. like megan or DCS. then it will sound better.. by that i mean deeper, as well. in coordinance with that, if it is all change at the ame time and all has the same carbon build up on the inside, it will sound deep, and the tone is fantastic, but thats only if you do it right. most ppl just throw the muffler on and thats where it gets high and raspy.

  • Megan and DC? lol, garbage.

  • lol you dont know shit little man.

  • @tubefullofsmoke Enlighten me, tell me what I need to know.

  • maybe a test pipe.

  • it's called displacement

  • As mentionned by sskdp06. It's the difference between motors in terms of engine capacity. And Drewburney is wrong. Bigger is not necessarily better. You have to match it to your engine power/displacement. Rally cars only use 2" piping and that allows enough back pressure for optimum tuning. Too big an exhaust will kill your bottom end and sound bloody awful. I'm putting a 2.5" on a 3 litre twin cam straight 6. Should be plenty big enough. In fact I was going to stick to 2" but got the 2.5 cheap!

  • how are u not gonna rev up ....!!!

  • beautiful deep sound

  • good exhaust. is this the 2nd gen?

  • Great vid! This is the full Tanabe Super Medalion Hyper, yes?

I've had my eye on this exhaust for about a year, and I will be picking one up in the next month or two!

  • Cheers :).

Its the full system from the CAT back. You'll not regret this system it's amazing and very long lasting, mine still looks new.

  • Oh one more thing. I have the OEM rear lip...do you think it'd be in danger of melting with this exhaust? I've seen other exhausts melt rear lips before, so it's something I'd like to find out. Thanks.

  • Since I filmed this I have changed to the OEM rear lip (or Motegi lip as we call it over here in the UK), which is much lower than the stock lip and I haven't had any heat issues at all. I adjusted the rear hanger a little though so the exhaust tip clearer the plastic a little more (as it was a bit to close).

  • i love the deep sound of the hyper medallion. I was thinkin of getting this exhaust for my Teg but i got the apexi ws2 instead. Their both very simlar, quiet at low rpm n a beast at high rpm. Either way their both great exhausts.

  • thas whas up i was lookin to get my Tanabe for a while and now after hearing it i'm definitely goin for it jus waiting for my taxes...i already have my AEM V2 intake and DC Stainless steel headers so can't wait to hear it...

  • yo dis sound grat..how much u paid 4 it

  • iv got one those on my accord with a 2 1/4" piping from the cat, sound great but have noticed it getting gradualy louder over the passed 2odd years... cost me $1100nz

  • Sounds great. Probably made it easier on the wallet with the money you saved on head gaskets.

  • how much?

  • About £400.

  • thats like, 800 us dollars.

    0_0

about the same price as a Fujitsubo.

how does it compare to this one?

  • this exhaust is only 400-500 usd

  • yea on single exhaust cars...for my Acura TL its like 800

  • Nice man..nice. im ordering mine next month. i have the jdm h22a with dc headers, and i love the sound of tanabe so....

  • With those headers on that'll sound superb. Get a video up when your done. :)

  • wow dude sounds very nice

compared to the last tanabe i heard

  • hey man that is a sweet exhaust how much did u pay for it? i wanna install one like that for my 98 civic

  • i have one of those on my 98 accord with a 2 1/4 piping from the cat, sounds great but have noticed it gradualy getting louder over the last 2 years... best set up for a honda i recon tho

  • thats a sweet sound

  • Are you going to Japshow, at Santa Pod, Keith? I'll be with the Prelude UK pitch, should have my Hyper medallion by then!

  • I want! How much did u pay, and where did u get it from? I notice ur UK (RHD, and Yellow rear number plate), same as me, I got a 99 VTEC red top manual, so I wanna let the beast roar a bit ;)

  • Hello. I got mine from 'dragon2modz' (add the three w's and com), great price from a top bloke. :) Its a superb bit of kit, sounds awesome. :)

  • Great exhaust. I have the same on my 00' Lude. nice and quiet, deep, but sounds crazy through VTEC.

  • At What time did you record this? the smoke cannot be related to the exhaust. Must be the cold outside right? hopefully it is becuase i really wanted this exhaust. plz reply burdonite lol

  • Yep your spot on, it was early in the morning and the vapour is condensation. :)

  • nice sound but its smoking a lot :)

  • awesome sound!

  • Cheers. ¦)

  • It sounds good

  • Thanks, it sounds even better at VTEC! :)
