I am currently in a long-term relationship and I have noticed a significant change in our daily lives.

Its rare that we go out to eat at a dine-in restaurant. Mainly we either buy groceries to make food, or if we feel like we can afford it, we walk about 2.5 miles from the house (and back) to go eat at a burrito Stand.

I think it affects a lot of long term relationships like this, where people just don't go anywhere or really spend anything unless its done cheaply.

I barely had any good jobs before this economic crisis hit, and now I don't have a job at all since April 2008. I am definitely finding myself feeling inadequate as a man, and yes I have definitely been looking at more dating sites like the ones you mentioned and more, but I never get my hopes up in actually thinking I could get a date with a woman with no money or no job.
