I was kinda asking is there a way to install the sound packs for the older versions of windows on Windows 7 or Vista? I miss the old start up sounds. It would be cool if they made a soundpack for Windows 7 to use the old sounds or if someone remastered them for better quality.

Longhorn/Vista: Never heard of longhorn, but Vista is my current and I love it. Nice enough sound too.

3.11: Sounds alright, never really payed attention to it.

95: Beutiful tune - makes me nostalgic now.

98: Has a "for the time" computer-ish feel to it.

NT/Beta: Never used these, but it sounds a bit future-ish.

2000/ME: Not used these either (thank God, I hear ME sucked) but the music's nice - ends like "We Are The World" starts. :)

XP/2003: Not sure what the difference is, but it's an ok sound - also brilliant Windows in genereal.

yes it is. win98 was somewhat a fail, much less stable than win95 osr 2.1. i ended up runing win95 osr 2.1 until xp came out. now i have 3 computers: one is still my old one with win95 osr 2.1, one is a very good pc with vista and xp in dual boot, one is a macbook pro and it's running leopard. you can get better than this. :)
