lol, yes it very easy pop it out and stick in some dirt and bam cut out the middle man aka "Tampon" (it's a pad). And lol again at people who use Miracle grow. Best thing to plant mango seeds in is a chunkier type of soil that has a good balance of drainage and moister retention. Best thing to remember when planting is the roots. the bigger the diameter a root is the looser the soil can be to allow expansion and growth. The smaller a root is the tighter and more compact a soil can be. CompostFTW

OMGosh! This really does work. I live in S. Fl. near Miami and I tried this three weeks ago. Guess what, I just planted it today. It sprouted a stem (plant) and root right out the tampon. It was so amazing. The entire family was amazed and my grand daughter helped me.

I just put my 3 mango seeds which all have about 1 inch roots in pots with potting mix outside on my deck ( I live in NJ, so it gets between 87-93 usually during the day). I watered each of them pretty good with luke warm water. How often should I water them? Should I keep the water constantly moist or let it dry out a little? And how much sunlight should they see? Right now they are on a part of the deck which doesn't get direct light.

mate, your soil is way to wet! thats why your plant has drooping almost transparent leaves. best way is to just put the seed directly into a compost filled plantpot (only partly buried) keep it moist but not wet, in a warm humid spot with plenty of natural sunlight or UV light and you will have the nicest mango plants going. this could take about 3 or 4 weeks longer than your method but trust me its worth the wait and your plants will have longer life and be more likely to fruit as adults.
