  • Anyone know the name of the Tune?

  • I believe the name of this tune is something along the lines of Liza Jane but don't quote me on that one :)

  • Goodbye Liza Jane

  • That timing is so right. Great playing

  • Wonderful pickin'. I don't think he missed a lick! Saw him play in Suwannee Georgia at Everetts Music Barn a while back. Impressed me then just as much as he did here. Great job!

  • to wizzad75. it is physicly impossible to learn all there is to know about 3-finger picking. clawhammer if anything is easier. you dont need finger co-ordination and its easier to keep time because of the constant thumb on the back beat. you should both try seeger style. it is teh best kuz you use the thumb for backbeat but also index and ring finger for picking and it uses more strumming so its much more versitile with banjo music. some of the best banjo songs are to fast for clawhammer anyway.

  • Looove three finger style, but respect where respect is due to the elder clawhammer style.

  • Bull. I play both, and it's HARD to really understand the clawhammer style. It's simple, not easy.

  • @iccut no you are wrong

  • True. except this isn't a TV reality show and most of us who enjoy this enjoy music over act.

  • Timing is dead on! Great job.

  • lots of pretenders but this is the real deal

  • That's picking pro style

  • That was some awesome pickin!

Keep them coming- and thanks for sharing.

    Banjoistically yours,

    Jon Eric

  • Very nice job!

  • Hey, I saw this guy play with a band at Everetts Music Barn not too long ago in Suwanee, Georgia. Great pickin'!

  • Don't mean to rain on your parade, Oscar82AA,butjust received confirmation fromAlan Munde himself about this tune. It is "Goodbye Liza Jane", which Alan has recorded. You can check with Alan via his Banjo College website to see if the tab is available. All of Alan's products are offered including CDs and tab books.

  • What is the name of the tune being played?

    Tablature?

  • It's an old Alan Munde tune. Don't recall the title though. They play it on Sirius once in a while.

  • Shenendoah Breakdown

    Thanks for pointing the way.
