@moneyequalspower metronomes constrict your improvisational skills. and i will reiterate if i must. if there is A LEADING BEAT helping you lock in exactly where the bars end,it makes polyrhythms that much harder for you to cross lets say a straight 4/4 over the 7/8 in this song,because you will be put off by the loudest click,THE LEADING BEAT. therefore constricting your ability to cross your rhythm because you are focusing on the off beat in the 3/4 before it goes into the second section in 4/4

Im going to Drum Tech in London next year and Im a session drummer. The guitar covers are requests from friends. because unlike you, i have talent on multiple instruments. want to send me a camera good enough to video me drumming, be my fucking guest. i guarantee in a couple years, you wont have done anything with your life
@theresignation00 this is the case. if you cant listen to the music and get a feel for the time without a leading beat click track, then you need to go practice more. It doesnt help you in an improvisational sense, meaning if you mess up,you havent taught yourself to get back on beat without a click track. I feel that click tracks hinder your progress more than they help it.
