Pothila, Marine Reserves will only help species which move very little, for instance, coral and bottom species. Tuna being migratory, Marine Reserves won't do much good. We need conservation laws globally, not just on US fisheries.

In my area , the gov. is creating waste. Making local inshore fisherman kill a species of fish to lawfully possess another. Lawfully making fisherman to harvest bycatch to keep another specie ! IS this methodical law just ??? Killing a specie unecessarily ?

Uh we do have Marine Reserves on Guam, miles worth. Hmmm this guy didn't make it on local media, i wonder why?
