I have some of Kris's music on my iPod - "Bring It Back" (beautiful and haunting) and "Alright with Me" (fun and delightful). But I heartily detest "Heartless" no matter who sings it. And, frankly, Kris's voice here does that "break" sound that I find so annoying (lots of singers do it - sounds "whiny"). IMO not a "great" performance.

Also saw YouTube group 2008 performance with Adam Lambert, Mike Sarver, Jesse Langleth?, and "welder" singing "Some Kind of Wonderful." (Really outstanding - judges really enthusiastic.) This year too many girls who all sound alike. Guess AI is aiming for a female winner. It may also be that I prefer (generally speaking) a male voice. Maybe AI has a surprise for us! Hope so.
