I tried the full tutorial but it won't render the particles in Vista or Ubuntu. Is there some patch or something nesasary to download other than blender 2.46?
You should make sure, that everything is set up like in the tutorial. And if it doesn't work at all, you should read the particle part in the Blenderwiki.
Lookin good. I dont like using Blender for compositing. I just render in multiple passes and composite the elements in Sony Vegas.

You can see the outline of the cube emitter.

The problem is, there is just one english explanation. And this one is in the Blender Art Magazine.
