I actually like the cover. I just can't fathom why people had to attack someone who made an observation about the logistics of unchanged lyrics.
Then again I actually prefer SRV's cover of Little Wing to Jimi Hendrix's original. He rearranged the song and removed all the lyrics.
If it were a case of maintaining the status quo, I'd totally agree with those saying a lyrics change would be idiotic. But changing the lyrics to maintain their original intent isn't daft or degrading.

When is she going to come up with a new look? She has been a slave to her eyeglasses for 16 plus years. She hides behind those glasses. She feels naked without those glasses. She wears those glasses to give her "personality" in order to compensate for her mediocre voice quality and talent. It's really a lame look but the drones buy into it... not surprising...

@tryithere Hey dipshit...the song is a REMAKE of REO Speedwagon's original. The lead singer of REO Speedwagon was a male, hence the reason Lisa Loeb (a female) sang the cover correctly.

@bricchini - Unless the lead singer died or had a sex change, he's still male. She's singing about those men. For it to make sense it needs to be changed to "about those girls" or even "about those chicks".

u r fucking retarded. this is a remake of an REO Speedwagon song from their 1980 album hi-infidelity, which is amazing. She is just singing the song it was written... so she didn't modify the lyrics when she sang it. I like it better that way :-). why change the lyrics. Kevin wrote them in the 80's about an event in his life, and she chose to not degrade his lyrics with modifications. well, go her.
