The problem with Duchovny is that Mulder and Duchovny have very similar personalities, which Duchovny hates so much, that's why he tried so desperately to not be typecasted..but look at him, you see Gillian Anderson and you can tell she is not Dana Scully, With Duchovny you feel he is playing Mulder!.
