Well it sure sheds light on the theory of relativity.Got to run it again and again to understand to some extent. One thing is for sure that Einstein is not an ordinary person.
Great video, finally I can understand how it is possible to time travel even if both observers observe time to be slower in the other frame of reference.
Earlier today I was bored and created an Excel spreadsheet to play with the Time Dilation formula (which I just discovered). I found that, if you take an 8-hour transatlantic flight (averaging 650 mph) every single day for 20 years straight, you'll become one ten-thousandth of a second younger when you're all finished. Assuming, of course, that the radiation hasn't cooked you by then.
Holy cow, this video was incredible. I've watched so many theories on relativity that have gone way over my head. This one is so patient and intuitive. Thanks so much for this. It's a gem. I'm going to save it in my favorites and I hope it's still here when my kids are a bit older.
Because alot of year had been passed for sarah so it also applies to earth right? So if we travel almost at the speed of light for a certain amount of time( time on the ship) we could tme travel?
And that is why we cannot scape from this planet. Thank you very much Eugene, this video is really good!

This is very informative for those who aren't familiar with the theory. Nice video!
By the way, could I ask what piece of music was playing throughout the video? It sounds beautiful.

@pawanbiswas, in reply to your question, we can time travel to the distant future, be we can never time travel to the past.
