I'm in college to be a brewmaster, and I really like craft beer, but I really can't stand the ridiculous political direction that a lot of people in the business are going. The big 3 are big for a reason. They deliver consistent products at an affordable price. Craft beer tastes a lot better for sure, but it is the job of businessmen to COMPETE in the marketplace not COMPLAIN about the competition. Stop mudslinging at the big 3 and start competing with them on their own terms.
Amain! It starts with beer drinkers, then home brewers, then craft brewers who have a chance to open the doors for everyone else. Multiply Micro, Never go Macro. You make them I review them. Become a Beer Disciple and spread the gospel...
Congrats you look like a pompous, arrogant douche bag posting what you have. Call us snobs I don't care. Keep drinking that crap that the big three call beer. Jim Koch said it best. G'day Guys! Awesome heart felt passion on this video I luv it as it reminds me of my ACN home business values etc as I've just order my first beer keg fridge thru my Brew By U Micro Brewery company here in Redcliffe, Qld, Australia & going to brew a Russian Stout 8.5%. It's got a bit of a kick so see how it goes guys, Cheers & catch ya later Spud!
This is great. This is less about promoting a particular brewery and more about the concept of supporting local and independent businesses. While the blunt focus here is on beer the spirit of this needs to become a movement among everyone in America and the world to not buy into what is most commonly available from large corporations or just what is cheaper on the face. The true costs of supporting mega-corporations are hidden but vast. This video makes me proud of people.
Please: I need the text of this great video to translate it to spanish. Because it's very difficult for me to understand the exact words that brewers are speaking I need to read the content of the video. Please, send me an e-mail to this adress: javierdicosimo @ yahoo . com . ar

I AM A CRAFT BEER DRINKER.
My tribute to craft beer is at Beer Nation on You Tube
I really like this video a lot and I'm out there to spread the word of craft beer and the awesome people who create it and serve it and drink it. This video is so inspiring to not only want to go out there and enjoy delicious beer but to go out there and do what you love no matter how many people tell you are crazy...whether it is to open a brewery or a bar that doesn't serve any beers from 96% of the market share. Start a coffee roasting company or a cupcake factory, or a candy making business
I love this video. It's a shame this isn't running on national TV during Football Sunday...
I am a craft beer drinker and reviewer and I don't care if y'all check out my videos or my website but I do care if you drink good beer. There are to many quality breweries out there for anyone to be drinking adjunct laden horse piss.
This video needs to be applauded for its display of camaraderie among the craft brewers alone...
I love craft beer, and it was my number one drink while I was in America these past three months. I have to say however that it seems a little stupid to say that 'craft beer from America is spreading around the world' as in fact much of Europe is dominated by craft breweries which actually influenced the American market. And the American dream? What does that have to do with beer? Once again, a case of Americans repeating the words 'American' and 'America' too much.
I totally agree with you on how European beers inspired American beer originally, but craft beer in America actually started as a rebirth after the Prohibition era through the innovation of people like Fritz Maytag, Jim Koch, Jim Calagione, and such breweries as Anchor Brewery. It was still inspired in part by what was originally a European beverage, but was also based on a philosophy of improving what both Europe and America from 1933 to the mid-1980's had to offer in beer.
Also, the craft beer industry is indicative of the American dream because it represents the efforts of men and women succeeding without the backing of commercial mega-corporations. It is an example of small business success, which is an inspiration to the American free market ideal. Besides, craft beer is not a European creation. Craft breweries are defined as small, independent, and traditional. It's a way of doing the work that doesn't originate in one country, nor is it a style of beer.
Craft beer is also not an American creation, by your own definition. If it is something which doesn't come from a single country, then why the repetition of the word American and emphasis on American Dream? Europe is not a single country, despite what a select number of people may think the other side of the Atlantic. Men and women succeeding without the backing of mega-corporations has also been around across the world for many many years before Europeans even discovered America.
Just to clarify, this was in response to the comment from Z1559577. I am sure that you are a very nice person and I wish we could share a well-crafter beer to discuss this in depth without the facelessness and miscommunication of youtube.
I am in no way anti-American, I wish to live there within the next few years and marry my current girlfriend who yes, happens to be American, along with many many of my closest friends.
I was just trying to make a point that craft beer is not -just- American.
Actually if you look into what is now known as the Lisbon Treaty Europe is one nation. And even though Lisbon is only now to be enforced Europe has been one nation in many ways for years, to the disservice of its people (EU bureaucrats excepted of course).
I can only assume that you are either a student of politics and economics specialising in European studies and have therefore made a rather witty remark which was intended as humour (in which case I suggest you do stand up, it was quite funny), or you are rather less well-educated and have made a random stab-in-the-dark at something you may well have learnt from Wikipedia and presume to be educated in the intricate details.
Maybe the UN has united the world into a single nation too?
It's not just American, but America definitely has the biggest craft selection and many people think the best craft brews in the world, including myself.
I never said it was an American creation. And I am also fully aware that Europe consists of many coutries. I have been abroad twice and visited a number of different countries in the continent. Also, saying that craft beer is indicative of the American dream is not saying it is an American creation. It inspires the American spirit because of its success. It speaks to our culture and our sensibility. Likewise, if you ever visit Chicago, drop me a message. We have some good bars.
Man....there is nothing I love more than a good American Craft Beer.....to all the men and women who work night and day to make these fine beers...thank you
Beeing a homebrewer in Iceland this video is just fantastic. As you might know the song Hoppipolla is written by Sigurros which comes from Iceland. Nice to see John Meier from Rogue in his overalls in the video. He is nothing short of a genious and the Rogue beers are just great.
ICELAND HAS HOMEBREWING SHOPS??? Where do you get your grain, hops, and yeast? I have Icelandic family and I visit every summer. I always wanted to bring my homebrew gear over there, but I wasn't sure I could get ingredients or equipment! Do you have a website for a homebrew shop in Reykjavik? Can you get Rogue's beer in Iceland? Love to hear this!

Perhaps one day, more people will see the light, especialy people here in TX. The big 3 even try to saturate the coolers creating as many different size cases as they can....
