I purchased 4 lights from NLFXPro. I've been trying to set a mixed color with a DMX controller. When I unplug the DMX cable from the light it justs to another setting and I loose the preset controller. How can I maintain a color mix after unplugging the controller from the light?
The colors seem to bleed quite a bit as the beam goes up. I can see multiple colors on the outside of the main color or sometimes inside. Also the reach does not seem to be very high. The camera never showed the entire height of the beam. Can you please comment on the bleeding and reach? Thanks.
@wizaye Check out Brian Redd's video on The Pucks in the related area. There is no "bleed" and the beams easily cover the 30' ceilings in the club he is in. This video was also taken in broad daylight in a well lit commercial establishment. Thanks!
your website says it has 10mm .25w diodes does that mean it is a half wat led or only a quarter wat led that is 10mm... also i don't think the puck has good color mixing with the leds being not mixed in much can you make a video of it on a white wall up lighting and what i am really trying to say is can you do a comparison of the puck vs. the chauvet slimpar led 56
@ledlightboy The color mixing is very good -- the snowflake pattern is really just cosmetic when looking at the fixture itself. Since the LEDs are placed symmetrically, the pattern does not change the wash pattern of the light. I do not own any SlimPAR 56's, but some other users have both and have said that The Puck is brighter than the SlimPAR, which the specs back up. Thanks!
question, if i wanna go full-on blue, lets say.... will all the leds light up or just part of it? it seems like if it just let up in a snowflake pattern, that it would not be as bright as it would if you had all the leds firing up.
i am looking towards the possibilities of uplighting, and am running a few different options through my mind at this time.
@BOBBYBLENDZ With any color changing LED light, there will be differences in the output with color change. Most LED fixtures use separate red/green/blue LEDs meaning if you are displaying a solid blue, only a fraction of the LEDs will be on. Other fixtures have tri-color LEDs which have a red, green and blue diode behind one lens. Same thing there - depending on color, many will not be lit. A color like blue will not give the same luminous intensity as white will, but it is still way bright!
@globaltruth20 Our first batch sold out in 1 day, but we'll have 50 more in about 10 days. If you are interested, Musictrends has them listed on their site right now, otherwise call Uncle Bob's in MKE. Thanks!
