okay.....hopefully this will help... The R85A (as shown above in the video)is black which is metal and the darker green parts are metal plated plastic.....it is a very reliable gun and very good for skirmishes but the only thing you want to watch out for is the dodgey mode selection....and no it doesnt matter whether the gun is realistic or two tone for the skirmishes, its completly up to what you prefer, but if you were going to carry them exposed to the public then it would have to be two tone

When you do skirmishes it is probably best to hire 1 of there guns they are usually full black

get a NiMH intellect battery and an adapter to connect it. don't use the blowback until you replace the stock piston(lock the bolt back, stress will cause the piston teeth to strip if you don't) and use the MAG brand mid-cap magazines and it's a great gun.

not the bolt is hooked to the piston when it comes back to its origanl position it basically carrys its the blowback does not put strain on the gun internaly or externaly

Yeah im a cadet and we are getting the L98-A2 in in a few weeks. They are basically an L85-A2 but with only semi-auto and with no full-auto. They wil be pretty lush for us cadets sice what we have been used to is a stupid single shot, bolt-action version. ATM we are about to do the rifle test for the L98 A2 and we are training with L85-A2s since we havent actually got the L98-A2 yet but like i said we're getting then in a few weeks. But yeah the L98-A1 is the bolt-action one.

the l85a1 was quite bad in any situation except woodland and in desert environments it frequently jammed and basically sucked cock, the l85a2 on the other hand is FUCKING AWESOME and is the most accurate assault rifle in the world. unfortunetly it has some reliability issues in desert environments but you cadets get the old l85a1s for now but when the l85a3 comes out (supposedly 2015) you will get the old l85a2s. scrap the history lesson ime saying that the 1st l85 sucked!

If you want a replica of an SA80 then this will be shit as it is a replica of the L85A1, not the L85A2 (SA80)

SA80 is the designated name for the family of weapons not the individual rifle. The L85A1 and the L85A2 as is the L98A1 GP rifle are all SA80's

hey ill answer a couple questions since ive gotten in my gun adn modded certain stuff. anyways to disable blowback pull bolt all the way back and flick the switch down then walla no blowback just switch up to enable again.

2. the battery it came with is a piece o crap may actually cause some problems with the gun (nothing a new battery wont fix)id give it a yr but i reccomend gettin a 9.6 i got a firefox 9.6 2000mah to fit crane version
