  • no recoil....

  • Well,nice machinegun.Russian Pecheneg better than this.

  • @antifashist11 A 20km march through the boonies with it will change your mind in a hurry.

  • i just realized out why they call theses things choppers they sound like one

  • poor fishes

  • Here in Brazil to have any gun is a crime.

  • @daltonagre that sucks...shooting is fun here in the US. You should visit and go to a gun range where you can rent the guns out and use them for target practice.

  • what recoil?

  • No recoil hack! :o

  • its from singapore our Special forces in the Philippines Use This.

  • Can't wait to use this weapon in the army

Fun to use in the IMT sitmulation

  • What a fun way to fish.

  • it looked as though that this gun doesn't hav recoil

  • @benjamin6338 it is called constant recoil.

  • poor fishys

  • cool

  • so how many fishy did u killed?

  • its light and its damn good!

  • poor little fishes on he water

  • lol this lmg has less recoil than rifles using the same ammunition

  • A lazy man's method of fishing.

  • Recoil hacks >.>

  • congrats you kill enough fish for an entire family to eat >.<

  • no recoil...

  • The name of the gun sounds like a Vacuum cleaner or a Food Processor or something..

  • @RichardTran0

You stole that from my review of it on combat arms LOL

  • @BlueTedyBearCA Hell yeah I did :P

  • i think its the best 5.56 mg

  • As a support weapon, i believe that the SAW is far better, I think that the Ultimax shines in its ability of being a mix between an AR and LMG, its lighter then the SAW and less bulky, and it holds more ammo then an AR. Its low recoil and accuracy is amazing. I wonder if you could put a 40mm gl under it, that would be Awesome.

  • What kind of Ultimax is that? It's either the MK4 or the MK5, right?

  • i hate tis SAW...it gaves me alot of problem...

  • @ManyNinja let me guess..u r a singaporean??dude,,,its GREAT when using live ammo

  • @idiotz87 if hes singaporean i guess u shou;d take his advice he might have gone thru ns and used this weapon...so yea

  • @Xiia0Sn00pY dude..i m a a regular... saw sucks at blanks ... but live ammo its great.. it depends on the operator knowledge and understanding of the weapon

  • it doesn't hold alot of ammo though compared to the m249 SAW. But the recoil is ridiculously awesome!

  • used to handle this in the army as a SAW gunner, bloody accurate and low recoil when clearing my magazine of 30 rounds. Only problem is when using blanks. like this gun

  • Slovenian army special forces ESD use this guns they love them

  • Why don't our boys have this? It looks much lighter then the M249 also.

  • @swedishvolvo i've heard that armed forces that use the m249 are looking to replace it with these.

  • Where did you hear that? I want a source because it sounds too good to be true.

  • Shit man, that thing has almost no recoil! And fast reloading too compared to m249! Must be one of the finest SAW in the world!

  • Heh, this is Raven's machine gun in MAG

  • yes i have 1 like that and im looking for a mag.. where can i buy 1

  • yea, singapore is proud to have made this weapon :)

  • Ahh confinement rifle. Sucks alot when using blanks like what everyone else says

  • Wonderful weapon...

Too bad the US Army choose M249 instead.

This weapon sure make Singaporeans proud.

  • proud ? lolx, that's a sucky weapon.. keep getting IA.. i'd prefer GPMG a lot more to SAW..

  • Well, it sucks with blanks, great with ball or tracer. Fired during platoon live firing. Never IA once.

  • omg the recoil looks so low

it's a LMG too.. and the guy's barely moving

  • ultimax uses constant recoil operation, meaning that the recoil that is felt comes in a continuous stream, instead of you feeling the recoil of each individual shot like bump bump bump

a sweet weapon, probably the best light MG

  • yeah no recoil and it's good only when using live rounds

  • wow no recoil ?

  • Used this before in the army. I'm from Singapore. Great when using ball or tracer. Sucks when using blanks.

  • Totally agree with you.

  • @Mith252 well who the fuck needs blanks they have no practical purpose

  • @liamconnolly33 Err, we used the blanks for practice and drills.

  • In the last scene, something is moving when it gets hit and explodes. Suicide bomber? just kidding but something is moving maybe an rc car or target rigged with explosives? Mini Mujahideen?

  • 6 years later i might be using this?

  • Haha problem with the US is that they do not like the drum style magazine, opting for the m249 one's instead. Low recoil, and very nice control, what's there to not like??

  • politics n money issue.... ;)

  • it was like he was using a garden hose.... zero recoil and perfect accuracy. i'd say these were blanks, but the splashes in the water say so otherwise.

  • Hardly any recoil. Nice weapon

  • why the hell do we use the m24 SAW, this gun seems alot better.

  • tell that to the DoD. lol... the M249's hefty...

  • @xGothimox Probably for the same motivation we continue to use the m16...

    America,wake up!

  • @xGothimox cuz the saw has a higher rate of fire and is more reliable in urban battlefields.

  • @xGothimox Trust me this gun is crap... I tried it before. The maintaince is cumbersome, the reliability is bad and difficult to handle.

  • @jiapau I have a feeling the SAW you have been getting is more than 2 decades already. I tried the newer ones. They are very reliable. I have say though, most of the SAW in the SAF are more than 2 decades old. I seriously feel that they should introduce the Mark 5 soon or we will end up with rusting rifles......

  • @Mith252 yeah, the ultimax 100 is just like a saw, but with no recoil cheat in it.

  • @xGothimox Singapore design the 4th generation of this weapon for USMC, in the end USMC choose m24 as their saw!

  • @xGothimox because the US doesnt want to buy a gun that is made in my homeland Singapore!

  • @xGothimox B/c fn has a congressman in their pocket

  • @xGothimox Because it's more expensive & it's singaporean.

  • @MrLolwut88 no wonder, we singaporeans buy cheap, sell expensive

  • @xGothimox

Because the M249/Minimi is more accurate at longer ranges, takes a belt feed, has a higher rate of fire, and a heavier barrel. Automatic support weapons like this never really caught on because there's no need for an intermediate between an infantry rifle and a support weapon in the US military. It's not a bad weapon, it's just a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.

  • @Bangbrosiah US is replacing a lot of beltfed weapons with M27 IAR. Because they lack a belt.

  • @xGothimox forgot the 9 you dumbshit

  • @MrHerderp

Look at all the billions and billions of fuck that i dont give.

  • @xGothimox not a single fuck was given that day

  • @xGothimox Not an american production. It would cost more to import a gun over. You know very well we dont do that in america.

  • @xGothimox This is becos it does not allows belt feed.

It pretty good handling condifering the rate of fire

  • Does this have any recoil? And what caliber is it.

  • it's 5.56mm.

  • singapore created ultimax-100,sar-80,

    sar-21

  • this is made in Singapore-ally troops of USA

  • heheh.....i've juz shot that weapon weeks ago, in the army camp. It's a nice weapon, only thing is u need to get the correct drills done before u get any misfire.

  • yea it is made in singapore

  • If it wern't for the splashes in the water I'd say those rounds are blanks.

  • my father hates this gun. they it keeps on jamming on blanks. until i showed them this :D

  • So... it's a bigger saw, with a lower rate of fire?

    Wow, how revolutionary.

  • I handled Ultimax 100 before.

WIth live ammunition, it is very reliable,

However, firing blanks proved a problem after prolong firing. The carbon residue from blanks tends to choke the gas regulator

  • Haha many Croatian soldiers might beg to differ.

A belt fed LMG while nice and all, is totally impractical for the kind of warfare they were fighting. Try using a belt fed while dashing through cover in an urban shoot out isn't pretty.

Mainly, magazine loaded weapons are easier to train with. You don't need to be a genius to slap a mag into a rifle.

Also jams are relatively easy to clear with a mag weapon but messing around with a snagged belt feed is a little more complex than that.

  • I use this gun and i really wish to try the USA's new SAW!!

  • Great technology, but IMHO poorly executed. It has been the universal standard of every military since WWII to use belt feed for their machine guns for so many reasons. If this could be modified then maybe, but it would take more than a small adapter, the receiver may even have to be inverted.

It may have a niche as a "Heavy assault rifle" but for the kind of volumes of fire used with even light machine guns, belt feed is a must.

Apparently the low recoil system will be used in USA's new SAW.

  • The reason it's drum/magazine loaded cause the armies in SEA region mostly use magazine loaded small arms, mostly 5.56mm. So when low on ammo can just find some ammo off a dead ememy.

Also the Spore armed forces use yankee made M16 rifles before U100 SAW was intro. Hence any M16 mags will fit no prob. M16 mags and 5.56mm universal in SE asia, we designed it for pratical purposes.

This made in singapore weapon btw is BATTLE TESTED in a conflict zone around europe FOR YOUR INFO!!

  • You should check out the LSAT Light Machine gun that uses the Ultimax recoil reduction principal (under licence I think). Jut put "LSAT Light Machine Gun" into wikipedia and it says all about it and it really is amazing what they are trying to do with this weapon with caseless ammo and incredibly light at 4.5kg.

  • what is the low recoil system used?

  • So called "constant recoil" it noticeably reduces felt recoil as the weapons just seems to have a constant recoil force like a high power hose so it is much easier to hold on target.

It works by having the heavy bolt group recoil a long way back where the spring is designed so that the bolt is decelerated back then accelerated forward at a constant force, never hitting the back of the receiver with force.

It has much potential though many questions remain.

  • whata mean many questions remain?

  • Well, this is a lot more complicated than a regular design, there are questions as to whether it is suitable for use in modern warfare. Although well used in the Balkans and SEA region, it has had no where near the same mileage as other designs.

Also, the Army is not some gun club, they can't just casually adopt any gun as they become available. They need to be logistically sound with maintenance/spare parts, training and so on.

  • gotcha

  • Hey, u know that new SAW ur talkin about? It's THIS gun

  • I don't think so, the "LSAT Light Machine Gun" (wiki it) uses a belt feed only, special plastic (or case-less) rounds and a new pivoting chamber type of action that has only been seen on auto-cannons before now allows for forward ejection. It also has a quick change barrel yet is a pound lighter than the Ultimax 100.

There are really very few mechanical similarities between the two weapons. Not the same nor developed from.

  • My bad, though this gun was considered for USMC replacement for M249. Although you saying this gun being a poor execution is not fair seeing different preferences by each force...

  • Yeh, "Poor Execution" is a bit harsh, it implies that it is a shoddy design/poor manufacturing when it is a beautiful design and is built to the highest standard.

Maybe it would be better to say the Ultimax 100 is poorly marketable by using an unpopular drum magazine that most armed forces are not too keen on.

  • Singapore doesnt really have that high a reputation and experience when it comes to marketable guns, though the SAR-21 and U-100 are very reliable and better suited for homeground defence than export imho

  • i'got the gun in my hands once ...the charging handle was kinda flimsy and its really well balanced but the magazine catch is kinda troublesome especially if you're in a fire fight...never got to shoot it though and its suprisingly light for its look...plus the original 100 rounds drum magazine is made from plastic...so u can see how many rounds u have left...well roughly that is...u need special holes drilled if u want your m16 mags to fit in the ultimax..u get to use it in rainbow 6 iron wrath

  • plus this saw doesnt work well with blanks.

  • With a para barrel and a 100 round mag, its gonna be a tommy gun..... in 5.56 NATO....

  • HOHO A SINGAPORE MADE.

  • Its fast enough and its consistent so you are actually going to be able to hit targets.

  • LONG LIV SINGAPORE!!!

  • Maybe the M249s replacement in the USMC.

Personally I'd rather have the MK48 or M60E4, because of the 7.62mm round. But all in all it's a great LMG. Having absolutely no recoil and running around with a tommy gun look-a-like would be pretty epic.

  • The name is a bit cheesy though. Sounds like some cleaning product.

  • yup!! clean up the bad guys...=P

  • Singapore's weapon usually comes up with funny names to distinguish its home-grown weapons

  • It's been considered by them. Personally, I say go for it seeing as its been praised by experts and the aging M249 might not keep up...

  • I fire this b4..Mark III version almost have no recoil effect

  • # of rounds put down range at any given time. A minigun that fires 5.56 has a really long effective range. Beyond that of what a single 5.56 would be considered. It's just semantics. The US won't have a proper rifle till they ditch 5.56 anyways. 6.5 SHOULD be the future.

  • Developed right here in singapore :D

  • lol, it's like some new-age tommy gun

  • wow no recoil at all!!!!!

  • it runs on a patented "constant recoil" action which is in fact a simple effort to avoid the heavy bolt group slamming against the backstop in receiver. This is done by elongating the stamped-steel receiver (and available bolt travel path) and by carefully calculating the strength of return spring proudly developed by Singapore technologies kinetics. :)

  • woah this is creepy....

    wheres the recoil?

  • Did they ever make an assault rifle version of the Ultimax?

  • It looks as though that you could have an entire goup of weapons based on this design.

SOme modifications could be made to have an assault rifle as well as a submachinegun.

  • Ultimax, as with most dedicated machineguns, fires from an open bolt. Might be too inaccurate for a rifle design.

  • and yet fires as accurate as an M16

  • Man a baby can hold that gun!

  • After so many years since developed in 1982, from MKI to MKIII version, it is still the "World Lightest Machine Gun" with such a low Recoil. It was used in more than 10 countries around the world and saw action in the Balkan War.

  • it's also the most accurate LMG ;-)

  • So it was designed in 1982? Does that mean it could be legal to own in the states?

  • wheres the recoil in that thing?

  • a fucking great automatic. great for support id imagine.

  • Wow thats kinda amazing!

  • 5.56 x 45mm, almost no recoil, 4.9kg, extremely accurate - woot! Go Singapore.

  • XD haha

  • it waz actually introduced in 1982

  • this section automatic wpn was introduced in 1983 to the SAF - it is in my humble opinion the best SAW any infantry section can ever hope to use - light, accurate, low recoil and very dust resistant. However the forward pistol grip is too stubby and the barrel is too long. other than that I love delpoying this together with the 7.62 GPMG with my Tiger force - treally suppresses enemy movements.

  • wonder how many fish were fried in the fray

  • This video is amazing. I think I've watched it like 20 times :)

  • rate of fire looks at about 600 rpm in the video, but the operator can change it from 400-600 rpm at will.

  • The Ultimax100 was designed by the same American gentleman who designed the AR-15 / M-16. Singapore mass produces it.... I'm from Singapore. Was in the army and I had my hands on it. The only problem with this support weapon is, the 100 rounds drum mag has the tendency of dislodging from the weapon by itself when it is fully loaded... otherwise, it has a near zero recoil. We call this weapon SAW in Singapore.

  • coz we had the mk2. Those they sell overseases are mk3/4. My unit's supposed to be the first to attack when the button is pressed but we could never get more than 5 rounds out on our pieces before it jams.

The few that work? Rock and roll =D

  • I agree with ANARCHY. US Marines suck and are total shitfucker assholes.

  • nice little weapon, i let loose on it when training with singapore SF. Problem was it wasnt the strngest...i cocked it and tore the cocking handle straight off it...not aussie soldier proof lol.

  • A weapon that is made by Singapore. <3

  • they also have the SAR 21...check it out

  • so a guy willing to risk is life for his country is a retard? youve clearly got no clue wat your talking about around my country we call those boys ballsy and brave and we call you guys fucktards.

  • holy cow, where is the recoil on that thing! It's so controllable!?

  • You could write your name on the target with that :D

  • Wonder if this could be the new Marine Corp IAR.

  • the rate of fire isn't impressive but everything else should be ideal for the marines

  • Who cares about rate of fire, with recoil like that, you'll hit every shot.

  • true dat but more bullets on target at a fast pace would make this gun even more beast

  • the rate of fire is extremely impressive. Smart soldiers like lower rates of automatic fire. Lower = more controllable, less waste of ammo, win.

  • once again your right but wat made the m249 such a beast, low recoil, massive mag capacity, long range, and a controllable rate of fire. not as intense as the ultimax but it can be tamed.

  • singapore weapon. <3

  • water.... not shoot back!

  • Is this a Mk4? Seems like a toy, no recoil!! Had always avoided this rusty crap like plague in my army days.

  • Recoil junkie, eh?

  • I thought he was shooting blanks until I saw the splashes in the water. Essentially no visible recoil.

  • holy hell love the after sound

  • Where did you get it?!!

  • Was made in singapore and i heard the gun itself has been undergoing lots of updating.Nevertheless ammo capacity is to little.:D Love Singapore
