hi there, and to everyone whos be so kind to comment!! your feedbacks been soo lovely, as i said initially im no professional atall, these were just attempts at cakes for my nephew :) ive made it a decision to do some more figures/cakes in this new year and post videos and ill hopefully do some how to's :) xxx
Hi everyone! THANKYOU for all of your comments... its so nice 2 hear, as ive said, this is the first cake and figures ive ever made. Had a real busy summer working away and starting college but now im settled im DEFINATELY going to start some more fondant work!!!
1st ill 'try' and do how to videos for all the animals here :)
Then im going to attempt others lol
If you have questions, ill do my best to help but please remember im not trained in anyway, and im still very new to this :)
Buttercream is the best thing to put between fondant and cake. Since it's butter-based, it prevents any moisture in the cake from ruining the fondant.
The little animals look like they're made out of fondant.
It;s much easier to buy than to make. The best tasting and easiest to work with is made by a company called Satin Ice
Love the cake! I dont think i would be able to do that.. My sons birthday is oct and i am looking everywhere for someone to make a cake like this for him.. I am having no luck! I wish you could make sell and ship them to me ha ha.. Very good Job
