Pretty subversive stuff. I mean, where's the "duh-versitee." Too many beautiful White Europeans here, dontcha know. No, thanks for making it. I saw Wishbone Ash in concert once.
Thanks for taking the time to comment - it's always great to hear from someone who enjoys the art, as well as the terrific music - as for me, I can't even listen to this song anymore without seeing this art in my mind! Thanks again! - Elizabeth HOTR
Thank you for subscribing - the two you describe were our first efforts to show a collection of art images, and searching around favorites we still have on vinyl, we chose these songs to complement them. It was just for ourselves at first until a friend said the obvious - "if you like them, so will somebody else" so we gave YouTube a try. (cont)
(cont)and although we will never have the millions of views others receive (we're a little new to this as well) it's been fun to discover others around the world who get some pleasure from what was our private indulgence at first - a way to enjoy our favorite art and music at the same time - thanks again!
Thank you for your kind words - we have seen your page - what a wonderful collection! In particular, aside from appreciation of great music, to hear from an aficionado of PRB art is always a thrill.
Having heard Whishbone Ash many years ago on the radio I was impressed by one of their songs very much. Being a shallow youth I never followed up on them. I'm glad you used a song of theirs here. The images are great and engage the imagination to embellish the small story present in each painting. Is there a Maxfield Parrish or two in there? Ha ha,if so that's cool
Thank you for your kind commentary. Yes, you are correct - although comprised almost entirely of art from Pre-Rafaelite period, I did slip in an occasional Parrish - it just seemed to work. It's nice to know that someone is not only paying attention, but knows their art! Elizabeth HOTR
I agree with absintherosinette's comments. Sometimes a maiden is compelled to wait for her knight, her king of the heart. I really liked the image at 1:40. Five stars and favorited.
One of the best videos on this site - a great blend of beautiful art and a story well represented by a piece of music that is 35 years old - and sounds fresh all over again.
Very cool video -- I see a lot of artwork I've seen elsewhere, but it's fun to see it all brought together and set to such a great song. Particularly like the painting of the dead knight with his dog looking up at him.
SUPER!. Wishbone Ash fan since 1972. Thanks, Heartoftherose! Excellent video!!!

Saw WBA perform this live at Winterland (San Francisco) in 1975. One of the best I ever attended.

Fantastic images put to a song that has as much if not more meaning than when written. Great stuff.
