I really enjoyed Jane Eyre. It is my my favorite book by far although it has a lot of descriptive text. If you can get through that, I'm pretty sure you will like it.
Wolves of Mercy Falls deserves more credit, its a great book series! Hunger Games are great. . . I LOVE Looking for Alaska! And of course Harry Potter and Twilight are amazing as ever!
The Enemy is an amaazing book, it's a series, but i haven't read the others yet. (It's a bit violent, it's about adults turning into zombie things and the kids trying to rule the world etc etc.)
Well, I'm really glad you like reading now :) I've actually never read 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' but I know everyone says it's really wonderful! Anyways! (and this is NOT meant to be offensive) Maybe the reason you can't get into classics yet might be because you're very young. Don't get me wrong, I wish I was really young ha ha! But I didn't get into classics until I was late 19, almost 20! Before then I just gave up trying to read them! Have you read the Wicked Lovely series?
The Painted Bird by Jerzy Kosinsky; the Diary of Maria de Jesus, the Yaqui Way of Knowledge and Gaugain's diary. I like your vids, they are provocative, yet subtle.
The Guardians by Ana Castillo is pretty good, I read it for a culture study project and it's not in Spanish but there are references also, The House of the Scorpion is more YA but it's good :)...
Some other more modern classics:
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseni
Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes
I felt like I had to comment because I totally relate to everything you talked about. But I still haven't finished Pride and Prejudice :/....
The House of Night Series, the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, The Hollow Kingdom Trilogy, the Night World series, His Dark Materials. Those are all amazing books XD
I tried reading Wuthering Heights too (actually, I was supposed to read if for my senior paper...oops), it was really hard to get into =/
Funnily enough, I was at the library yesterday looking for 1984. I couldn't believe they didn't have it, though. I'll most likely buy it soon or visit a better library. Thanks for the comment.
You should try some books by James Patterson, like the Alex Cross Series, The Women's Murder Mysteries Series, The Maximum Ride Series, thoughs are some really good books. I read the Eragon books 2 years before the movie came out. I've see the movie and was very disappointment too. :(
I suggest the Morganville Vampires series by Rachel Caine. There are a total of 6 books. The next one is set to be released in Nov. The Evernight series by Claudia Gray is pretty good too. Hope this helps:) I might give John Green a try and read Looking for Alaska.
Definitely read Uglies by Scott Westerfeld he is amazing! and As You Wish by Jackson Pearce that one isn't out yet but I just finished the ARC that I got today and it is really good. also Kissed by an Angel by Elizabeth Chandler is really good.
why not pick a spanish-speaking author for a spanish book? I usually hate translations, so I try to read the original language if I can (book piracy ftw!)
I just chose harry potter cause it's an easy read. Gotta start off somewhere. But yeah, I always wanted to read the original version of 100 Years of Solitude. So maybe I'll try that instead.
you should really read the host. Its great. No lie. And your funny btw xD

Try Jane Eyre, I found it easier to get through than Austen & Wuthering Heights.

Reading half a book is better than none. Perhaps you're reading above your literacy level and should try something simpler with lots of plot.

Yes, Wuthering Heights is hard to get into. Maybe when I have... patience I'll read it, haha.
Thanks for the suggestions!

I haven't read a book in... idk, years? I was a total bookworm in elementary (Goosebumps!). But yeah, otherwise, books are gross.
