@3DPlanets Why not just put the lighter in the fire? I used to do that at the beach,, see a bonfire stop by say high,,, then drop a bic. A nice blueish fire ball rising... Even those that will no longer light will do a nice ball.
was your fuse string soaked in toluene glue? anyway I think your flour bomb failed cause you didn't shake it up enough, the flour just sat at the bottom of the balloon.

You need to shake the balloon more so the flour spreads on the inside and you also need to inflate it to the MAX to get the Ultimate results.

It's a strip of cotton cloth (this one was a shirt sleeve) that was wrapped tight with cotting thread and then soaked in lighter fluid. totally safe.

the "fuse" is just a pipe cleaner with lighter fluid squirted on it. Surrprisingly effective, but no substitution for real fireworks fuse,
