  • White elephants...These two words never sounded more beautiful

  • Effect pedals!

  • It's that thing you plug it into. You use your foot to.change the noises. I saw my cousin do it once.

  • Can anyone tell me how this wonderful sound is made? I really love! the way his guitar sounds... I would like to produce the same with my guitar.

  • This reminds me when I walked outside and realized my big tow was sticking out of my sock. Shortly after I saw a bird walking.

  • does anyone know which album this song is off of?

  • @easyrider332 hail to the thief

  • @beatles820 a very underated album!

  • 44 people won't.

  • avfoasis - I cant verbally attack you, I dont have your number. Nor shall I attack you in any way. at the end of the day, its subjective. I love Radioheads earlier stuff, brill. They just didnt keep it up. As for Jimmi H, I know little of his work except that he was good.

  • avfcoasis - I think you probably just dont like the man personally. Dont you like -'Hey Jude' 'Yesterday' - 'Helter Skelter' (I had an argument with an irish guy the other day who swore it was a U2 song!) 'Getting Better' 'Oh Darling' 'Band on the Run' 'Golden slumbers -Carry that weight-The End' 'fool on the Hill' 'Here there and Everywhere' 'Get Back' 'live and let die' 'Jet' 'Michelle' 'Day tripper' 'Penny Lane' 'Paperback Writer' 'lady Madonna' 'Back in the USSR' ? perplexed!

  • @terryperring104 to be fair i DON'T like him. i've always found him incredibly boring. but that opinion has been made through his music. admittedly, there are a few songs in that list that are very good, it's not that i hate all his music, he's written some great songs. it's just that i don't understand the hysteria surrounding him when people like hendrix, thom yorke, noel gallagher and even modern songwriters like alex turner can write better songs than him (awaiting verbal attack)....

  • @terryperring104 but my original point still stands. this song is more beautifully written and passionately played than any mccartney song i've heard. and i am still waiting for someone to prove me wrong.

  • avfcoasis - I think Jimi Hendrix was an amzing guitarist. A good songwriter too. I'm pretty sure Macca could play the guitar behind his head if asked. But, Dont be kinda scared, there really is just no comparison when it comes to Earth shatering talent and innovation. Come on; take a look at Pauls back catalogue of songs over nearly 50 yrs!!!!!!! Macca is the king of POP/Rock/melody!!!!!!!

  • @terryperring104 due to my pessimistic opinion of mccartney, i can't be bothered to look over his entire back catalogue. but if you could give me one piece of mccartney writing that you believe to be earth shatteringly talented, then that would help. but i've said it before and i'll say it again, if it's anything like "i will", I WILL be dissapointed, and that's what most of mccartneys music sounds to me. also, noel gallagher was not innovative, and that's why people say he was talentless...

  • @terryperring104 ...and rubbish, so surely mccartney should have been innovative to be earth shatteringly talented. (unless you mean hendrix was E.S talented and mccartney was innovative). either way, if you look at songs like may this be love, it has a beautiful melody and essentially is quite poppy. it also has the incredible talent of jimi's guitar playing. my point is, i just can't for the life of me see what mccartney did that was better then hendrix, or radiohead for that matter.

  • one of the few artist who actually sounds better live than they do in their cds

  • Guys please stop talking about beattles, we're there for Radiohead, and nothing else.

  • @JavouJeKiff i'm really sorry that i brought up the beatles. this song doesn't need this bullshit, it's just... try and listen to the beatles "i will" after this one and not feel sick. i'll leave it at that, and continue listening to a painfully beautiful song.

  • OK, who thinks Mccartneys "i will" is better than Thom Yorkes?

  • thumbs up if you just listened to this and then clicked on the beatles song and thought "the Beatles (Mccartney) are so fucking overrated." i hate all the thumbs up bullshit but it's so true, anyone who thinks there's more talent and emotion in the beatles (judging from their comments, thats a lot of people) than radiohead they are morons. lennon was a genius, but mccartney was boring.

p.s i'm not a troll, i'm probably just the biggest hater of the beatles whilst still being a fan.

  • @avfcoasis LOL your a funny guy. I know your just joking.

  • @JammerZice lennon was a genius, mccartney was boring

  • @avfcoasis Lennon was hardly a genius, Paul is very talented. He is the most talented person I have ever seen.

  • @JammerZice one word: no. two words: just.... no four words: Ever heard of Hendrix?

  • @avfcoasis Well, duh. I listen to all the music from the 50's to 80's. Past the 80's it's all shit.

  • @JammerZice 60's and 70's was mostly great. 80's was almost all shit (excluding R.E.M, U2 etc.). 90's was mostly great. and 2000's has been shit apart from the odd band. my point was that hendrix had more talent in his pinky finger than mccartney ever had. and so does thom yorke. i just can't believe i've turned this page, with it's wonderful music, into some mccartney shrine. apologies to the people who don't want to hear about mccartney.

  • @avfcoasis I liked the early 80's, but bands like Metallica fucking sucked. And did you seiously say Jimi had more talent than Paul McCartney? I guess we'll have to disagree on that.

  • @JammerZice I LITERALLY can't understand how someone can think that paul mccartney has more talent than hendrix. i HONESTLY CAN'T BELIVE THAT. if you can give me one example where mccartney shows he has more talent than a man who could play difficult solos with his TEETH and behind his back, and essentially created the modern guitar sound, then i'll accept that mccartney was an unimaginably talented man. otherwise, i am lost for words. it doesn't make me angry, it makes me confused and worried.

  • @avfcoasis Well, first playing with yout teeth isn't that hard, I mean Jimi has talent but not as good as Paul. What I like about Paul is how many instruments he plays and he can all play them well. Paul also writes some of the best music and lyrics, he was the fucking brains of The Beatles.

  • @JammerZice keep in mind, a lot of Paul's best stuff was later in his career. Had Jimi lived past 27, who knows? both were amazing songwriters, although no one can touch jimi's virtuosity on guitar. there's a legend of paul and john discussing jimi's arrival in London in '66, and being somewhat freaked out by his degree of talent. Check "Jimi Hendrix killed Eric Clapton" on YT if you're curious about his impact on the UK music scene

  • @JammerZice i think i'd be pretty surprised to see anybody playing a difficult solo with their teeth other than a small bundle of guitarists, and i've only ever seen jimi do it. give me an example where mccartney has written groundbreaking or stunning music, and if it's anything like "i will" i'll be pretty disappointed. he was a half way decent songwriter but was never one of the best. Lennon was BY FAR the brains of the beatles. BY FAR....

  • @JammerZice and i've never heard any mccartney song written with as much passion and emotion as this song. admittedly i haven't heard every mccartney song but the vast majority to me just sound like nursery rhymes, i'm afraid. whereas strawberry fields forever, happiness is a warm gun, tomorrow never knows, you got to say lennon was the brains and the groundbreaker of that band, and i still think yorke has more talent. remember, just because they were first doesn't make them the best.

  • @JammerZice p.s remember the kinks...

  • @avfcoasis I love The Kinks.

  • @JammerZice good. but my point was that the kinks began experimenting with exotic instruments before the beatles. just sort of trying to anticipate a statement from lots of beatles fans that they were the first to work with psychedelic music and all that. a lot of beatles fans try to say that.

  • @avfcoasis Yeah, kinda like "See my friends" by The Kinks and "Norwegian Wood" by The Beatles. They were both indian type songs and people though The Beatles were the first to do it in Pop.

  • @JammerZice to be fair i don't think the kinks get the recognition they deserve, whereas the beatles get more than enough. I'm straying from the point here, but my original argument was that this song is a more beautifully written, more meaningful, passionate song than anything i've heard from mccartney. and i don't think i'll hear or read anything that will change my opinion on that.

  • @avfcoasis Finally!!!!! I like the beatles (they where brilliant, specially lennon) but seriously it´s so disgusting how everyone says they are great without even litening to them fully (The whole dischography not just the hits)... I mean, If everyone likes them so much that would mean an obvious contradiction. I just know I listened to the beatles, every album in just one year and got tired of them. Radiohead it´s been 3 years and can´t get enough...

  • @sudjorge1 thank you. it's as though people think just because the beatles came along first that makes them the best, and anyone who is still making music at this time can't be a legend or a genius. it's so annoying. radiohead are the better band.

  • @SketchyStyle totally agree with u!!

  • did anyone else think this was a beatles cover???

  • @beatle4life64 I was expecting it to be... But now...

  • Thom played Johnny's Guitar?

  • A lot of people don't realize this song is about the Amiriyah Bunker bombing during the Gulf War, which resulted in more than 400 dead, mostly women and children. 'and I'll bunker underground'...gives me chills.

  • 43 People are deaf or heartless.

    over to you...

  • ‎The funny thing about most of the music on Amnesiac is that I was in my bathroom rattling tin cans and slapping a tuna and that's how most of the songs were written. Like Spinning Plates is actually me taking a dump in reverse." ~ Thom Yorke

  • Wow so perfect...

  • I want this telecaster

  • ignorance!

  • Radiohead makes the only important music today. thank God for world-aware, active dissidents.

  • @truthslap Oh please. What an incredibly stupid and ignorant statement. MInd blowing, Wake the fuck up wanker.

  • Comment removed

  • @truthslap Haha I love it. I'm a fascist because I am aware of the fact that Radiohead is not the only band making relevant music in 2011? Wow....I feel sorry for you mate. Really I do. Try broadening your musical horizons......I promise you it will be a good thing.

  • @Nigelxman1 Wait a minute.. I just checked your channel, you're a Beatles fan?? I am a die-hard Beatles collector, and knowing that people like yourself are amongst us shocks me on a human level, I am saddened to know that fascist, pugnacious idiots like yourself are among us Beatles fans. I am disgusted.

  • @truthslap Wow, it looks like out little Portugese friend has a few anger issues. The good news is ...there's help for that too. :-) Why are you so ignorant and so angry mate? Seriously...Reading your posts and seeing how much misdirected anger is within them is a little disturbing. Try being nice to yourself.

  • @Nigelxman1 I like the Beatles, I don't like people who bag on musicians who make important music in an era of commercial nonsense. Enjoy what you like, you're too old to be as foolish as you are.

  • @truthslap Mate, re-read my first post and kindly show me where I bagged on Radiohead.....??? Why are you so confused? Are you drunk? They're one of my favorite bands.

  • Comment removed

  • Guys, what are you talking about? THIS is good? Haven't you heard Friday by Rebecca Black? Now that's music!

  • @nirvanaandthebeatles you speak the truth sir

  • ...the best English band for nearly 20 years, simply stunning! What makes it more heart warming is the fact that Liam Gallagher doesnt "get" Radiohead! Like whats to "get"? Either you enjoy good music, or you don`t!

  • scheiße...was ein verflucht guter song....diese stimme....thumbs up.
