  • This is awesome!

    Love to listen :)

  • i love thisss, good job man

  • Strong groove and you have good taste when it comes to fills, and I mean both the type of fill and the placement. Great job!

  • how many times you have listen example this song, to learn to play it, and how many times to practice plays?, im just learning to play by ear.

  • @FlinckJanne1981 I know the arrangement cause I used to play it in a cover band years ago, on this version I'm just jamming it for fun.

  • ame' FUCKIN' zing !

  • you rock maaaan..!!

    :)

  • you rock maaaannn...!!

    :)

  • Pearl drums?

  • @Mnog10 Yes, session series maple.

  • Would you happen to know of any sites where i could song tracks without drum tracks? Are there sites for that?

  • @Meclesky07 try music4drums

  • 1:15 you win

  • @mariorossipuzza I assume u mean making it back to the hats in time after choking the cymbal...yeah, nearly didnt : ) very observant.

  • @naedsukram it's awesome! it fits perfectly!

  • The one that dislike this song probably will be lonely for the rest of his life

  • Fantastic!!!!!! Great Drummer!

  • Wow that was awesome! Nice cover!

  • it looks so easy! you're good! tnc for the video, I can watch and learn. We are going to play this song

  • How did you remove the drums from the original track ?

    Thx

  • @Veee1313 I have all the separate tracks to this song, so I just mute the drums.

  • @naedsukram Did you get it from a website (or whatever else) or from a software that removes drums part from any input track ? I would be highly interested in it.

Btw, excellent cover, keep going ! :)

  • wow, you're unreal!

  • awesome stuff! Where did u get the drumless track from mate?

  • kick ass cover, great job man.

  • good cover man... thanks

  • Really good. Man,you are SO laid back. Do you only need to change your tom heads once every 5 years?!

  • wow your good

is really the best cover i ever saw

  • @UniqueFlave cheers mate, nah, there's plenty of good cover out there, but thankyou for your comment : ) Dean

  • @UniqueFlave lol never heard of cobus i guess?

  • Great drumming!! I like it as much as this dude called Cobus, doing 'bat country' from Avenged sevenfold he's really good too, check him out..

  • excellent work, i really love it

  • Every time I watch this cover...........I like more. Excellent !!! Congratulations

  • I actually like the fact that the original drums are removed from the soundtrack. It's purist and you can't get any of that being helped out by the original player stuff in the background. However to my ear it just made it that much clearer how electrifying Stewart is behind the kit. There's just so many more strokes being used and his fill-ins are so creative. The snap of how hard he hits his snare drum is actually a big part of his sound too. IMHO this is a decent version. Stewart is Stewart!

  • Excellent job, man.

  • Omg dude u make me look like a needle in a hey stack with this cover ....

  • wow i wish my kit looked that good very nice cover by the way ur really good

  • Best cover I've seen so far.

  • @Mnog1997 thanx man. Dean

  • Your drumset sounds sick.

Although, in my opinion, some of the fills you played are there just to show that you can play them out - completely inappropriate in certain situations. But, as long it's just jamming, it's all acceptable :)

  • nice work

  • OMG THIS IS FREAKIN AWESOME! @_@

  • bien tocado batero felicitaciones =)

    saludos jeff cheff

    LIMA- PERU - SOUTH AMERICA

  • Nice!

  • hahaaaaaaa man this is so awesome, i mean i aint no drummer, but to a guitarists ears ( thats me) this sounds great!! MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE

  • I really enjoyed that. Great job!

  • also dean i was wondering how u take the drums out of a track, you use some kind of program can u guide me with that please.

  • hey dean my name is ray im from the dominican republic, i really love ur playing ive been watching ur videos for a while now and you are very creative and talented, keep up the good work.

  • I don't know what you mean by your "cheap" snare drum. I am consistently impressed with its sound. Is this a .mogg file? I don't hear the original drums...

  • Yes, it's from the link u gave me, where 'sex on fire' was found. This is a 25 year old pearl snare (its older than you bill), I s'pose the world series was a good brand when it came out.

  • Ah, ok. I hadn't downloaded them all. Glad you were able to use it. Haha, yes, a lot of things are older than me! None of my snares are, but yours is definitely becoming a classic by age standards!

  • in response to your remark about the Pearl snare, I have it on very good authority (talking Silver Chair recording sound engineer) that the old pearl drums are really awesome to record...better than the new breed of rock kits. Apparently they capture really well...I guess your pearl snare shows how true that is.

  • well there you go, didnt know that, I'll hang on to it then, become a heirloom when I'm gone.

  • @naedsukram im trying to figure out if that fat snare sound is from the original drum track or your snare...

  • @DoubleStrokeRaoul this is a drumless track, so its my snare your hearing.

  • @motorlynx2 i heard copelands signature snare is a copy of an old pearl snare that he used on every police album

  • @Kobeownzu81 Really? thats very interesting to know, I wonder how many other recordings they show up on. It could be surprising. Thanks for your comment mate :O)

  • Effortless as usual Mark. A pleasure to watch.

  • Thanks man!

    Dean

  • Sorry Dean!..don,t why i called you Mark there??..my apologies.

  • cheers on the new cymbal, sounds great out here in cyberspace. i'm begining to teach my 5 year old how to play and i'll surely be robbing your page on how to do "it" the best way. thanks man keep 'em coming. later fat mike.

  • Thanks man, this is the fourth one i've done. message in a bottle, roxanne, next to you, and this one. My fav would have to be 'every little thing'

  • Try "english man in new york" it's by Sting and i believe the drumming is by Vinnie Colaiuta.

  • Manu Katche, yeah, I know the song well, have the 'vinyl'. One of my fav drum songs is 'shadows in the rain' off 'dream of the blue turtles' omar hakim on drums, funky shuffle intro.

  • Sounds amazing!! Very nice job.

  • aweeeesome job!!!!!

bad you didnt crank the snare up!!!

  • thanks man, the original snare was quite low tuned, but yeah, most of his other songs he went for a much tighter sound.

  • nice job its to easy for you

  • agreed. Dude, everytime you knock it out of the park!! Just keep the vids coming, I learn something everytime... thanks

  • Again, perfection. I wish you and I could jam together. You're a genius.
