@hi123301 That was Hack&Slash, but now its "FrostBurn" It gives movement speed, agility, strength, and slows the enemy down when hit. Gives major dmg boost.

This strat is easily countered with the right hero and right items. It is pretty plain that the chronos was bad. A scout tried this on me last night, but I was FA. I bought plenty of TPs and an eye right off the back. I was able to farm mid and take mid tower with my skeles faster than scout could take top. From then on I had a gold and exp lead, and just tped to harass all the time. My gold and exp lead increased, and I locked him out of this strategy. From then on I just pushed mid and won.
You win because Chronos is an idiot, look his items? Lol.. wrong upgraded boots, wrong item.. And this suck.. Witch Slayer/Pyromancer buy dust or gem.. And you're easy to kill every minute with ulti.
1) You should probably try last hit more often and get gold even faster
2) is it really that useless to get wards? (at least instead of stat point?) I think a silence before you anticipate him to use his ulti would be very nice.
3) Get some items earlier. at least from the secret shop(s) (if there are items you need there, idk exactly) or at least courier. You were close to dying twice there.
well everyone knows this tactic and it works way better with maphack abd btw vs noob like this chronos you dont need any tactic but vs a good chronos you got no way to win i promise ;)

I would say this is a great strat in a 1v1-game, i myself has met a guy who played this way although he lost. I dont see a real problem with this strat except ur itembuild, would have gone for brutalizer before sange. Maybe some lasthitting too :D

yes pesti would counter prty well, but scout as a base character is already fairly broken. of course agility+basher=gg. outside of a faster basher/disables.
and playing all 3 lanes for a 1v1, and just playing cat and mouse is retarded. then it would simply be whoever farms better.
if he was good at last hits, then he would be outfarming the time you spent not behind a tower.
Just a question, when the guy is leaving the game and it tell you "Victory" can you leave the game or you must take down everything on the opposite side?
Why argue about 1 vs 1? The hero with more stuns and dps can win easily. For example Succubus one of the best 1 vs 1 heros. Tempest is decent depending how you play him. Note they both have an ult that completely disables the enemy while dealing a fair amount of dmg. Succubus still has sleep and can lane easily with mana ring, while still able to harrass. Tempest summon stun hit hit hit plain simple.
This strat is just fucking amazingly thought out, but really. I would never consider using it, its far from a fair game but i guess theres ways of countering it. 2/5
It works rather well, but you almost died there.. And that's a not exactly the best chronos I've seen.
Pestilence works wonders as stated before, against this strat. A few ganks can reduce they efficiency of your farming by a great deal.. But it depends on who's at the keyboard I guess:p
tried this myself once, worked great but felt like I was playing against the creeps and not the oposing player:)

@vizierfennin I wonder why you didn't get runed axe. I see it as core on scout, think most people do. Seriously it gives 60+ dmg and great pushing abillities. You can be pushing all the lanes at the same time with scout. And it increases the farm insanely much too. Helm of domination is such a small item in comparison.
@DeJayHank I suppose its pretty viable with his "strat" but a lifetube gives more, its 5/sec lets pretend the base attackspeed is 1 attack/sec (because it lies around that.) 0.15*75 (here scout's base dmg is pretended to be 55 the +20 is for wispering helm)
0.15*75=11.25hp/attack
Its more but scout gains those 5 life all the time. And getting a runed axe would wipe those creepwaves off the planet so quickly he wouldn't even have to care about the hp.
If you play someone who is trying to mirror your strat, you do it better because you run faster than anyone else and have one of the top DPS in the game.
Pyro is a horrid 1v1 hero, and he is certainly not anti scout. Also he fights for the legion, so you wont ever face him. As far as I know there arent any anti scout heroes and I have played literally hundreds of 1v1 games using this strat.
"All Heroes" is normally on when I play, cuz leaving it off is just noobish imo..
I agree that this strat has potential, but whenever I pick pyromancer vs scout, I just hunt him as soon im lvl 6. scout is an ezz kill with ulti, and the cd is only like 60-80 sec.
If you go for war-pyro, he is a very good assist-carry, since he's dmg is just insane and you dont even have to buy attack speed.
Pyros problem is hes pointless after lvl 8, Theres no way a scout using this strat is going to let himself be ganked by pyro. Pyro disappears from his lane on the mini map you know know it wayyyy before he can get to you. l2think imo.

Unfortunately, this strategy doesn't work if it's MID ONLY 1v1, which comprises most 1v1 games. Still, good guide for beta.

Scout is not a hero that existed in DotA.
S2 did horribly wrong in making an hero with vanish, range attack, super strong melee attack, anti invis wards, disable.
Thats what scout is.
A 1v1 monster.
Even without this strategy, all he needs is lifesteal and he's imba.

and playing all 3 lanes for a 1v1, and just playing cat and mouse is retarded. then it would simply be whoever farms better.
if he was good at last hits, then he would be outfarming the time you spent not behind a tower.

Why argue about 1 vs 1? The hero with more stuns and dps can win easily. For example Succubus one of the best 1 vs 1 heros. Tempest is decent depending how you play him. Note they both have an ult that completely disables the enemy while dealing a fair amount of dmg. Succubus still has sleep and can lane easily with mana ring, while still able to harrass. Tempest summon stun hit hit hit plain simple.

i think one of the best to use in 1v1 is panda. hes skills go through magic resistance so that already makes him alot better in many ways..:)

This strat is just fucking amazingly thought out, but really. I would never consider using it, its far from a fair game but i guess theres ways of countering it. 2/5

It works rather well, but you almost died there.. And that's a not exactly the best chronos I've seen.
Pestilence works wonders as stated before, against this strat. A few ganks can reduce they efficiency of your farming by a great deal.. But it depends on who's at the keyboard I guess:p
tried this myself once, worked great but felt like I was playing against the creeps and not the oposing player:)

@vizierfennin I wonder why you didn't get runed axe. I see it as core on scout, think most people do. Seriously it gives 60+ dmg and great pushing abillities. You can be pushing all the lanes at the same time with scout. And it increases the farm insanely much too. Helm of domination is such a small item in comparison.

@DeJayHank I suppose its pretty viable with his "strat" but a lifetube gives more, its 5/sec lets pretend the base attackspeed is 1 attack/sec (because it lies around that.) 0.15*75 (here scout's base dmg is pretended to be 55 the +20 is for wispering helm)
0.15*75=11.25hp/attack
Its more but scout gains those 5 life all the time. And getting a runed axe would wipe those creepwaves off the planet so quickly he wouldn't even have to care about the hp.

Pyro is a horrid 1v1 hero, and he is certainly not anti scout. Also he fights for the legion, so you wont ever face him. As far as I know there arent any anti scout heroes and I have played literally hundreds of 1v1 games using this strat.

"All Heroes" is normally on when I play, cuz leaving it off is just noobish imo..
I agree that this strat has potential, but whenever I pick pyromancer vs scout, I just hunt him as soon im lvl 6. scout is an ezz kill with ulti, and the cd is only like 60-80 sec.
If you go for war-pyro, he is a very good assist-carry, since he's dmg is just insane and you dont even have to buy attack speed.

Pyros problem is hes pointless after lvl 8, Theres no way a scout using this strat is going to let himself be ganked by pyro. Pyro disappears from his lane on the mini map you know know it wayyyy before he can get to you. l2think imo.
