If you got 2 billion dollars in your pocket as a no bid contract like Halliburton, that its paper money doesnt matter that much, one of the problem is that corporations run the gov and they get the money not you. So WHO controls the money is as important as what its made of.

Note that fractional reserves means PRIVATE banks create 90% of the money.

And Gold means you have to buy or borrow the right to have an economy, if you are nice, thats like paying banksters for the right to use the air

Besides the point of who controls the money, and the impact of fractional reserve, something else that the Fiat vs Gold debate muddies is the fact that inflation by itself does not explain the loss of purchasing power and moreover it helps conceal that workers are getting a raw deal as automation and production increases, if things cost 50% more but your income is 50% more its not that big of a deal, but if your income is 1% more than its a big deal but inflation itself is not the sole culprit

Ron Paul speaks the truth as usual. One of a few standing up for Americans in Washington. You know what. I am voting for Ron Paul for President in the next election even if he does not run. Why. Because no other candidate will be worth in comparison. If he does not run then I will use my vote to make a political statement founded on Ron Paul's wisdom, philosophy and honorable reputation.

There are people going hungry in America too.

If we give away all the food, then the supply diminishes, and since it is given away, the value (potential profit) diminishes. So, economically speaking it would quickly be in short supply for everyone because nobody could make ends meet producing it.

@altops America can't feed the whole world but we can help the rest of the world use what they have and work with them diplomatically. Washington seems to just care about invading other countries and killing people. We haven't had a just war since WW2.
