as far as i know

only 2 usb slots no memory stick or sd slots and no backwards compatability (atleast i think so im 50 % sure ive never tried it out) plus more space thn normal on this version i have the same one nevertheless i dont see myself playing any ps2 games on my ps3 in the future or using 4-6 usbs at a time XD and who needs memory sticks if u have a usb if i were u id get this one

It does have built in WiFi though, which is really nice. (plus free online gaming on the playstation network!)
