The guy in the crowd at 2.56 always cracks me up. The expression on his face just completely syncs up with the triumphant exuberance of the wistful robot production-line stomp section.
I was there and asked him why he played such an obviously impaired setup and he told me it made more space between each drum so he could play louder and to fuck off! Haha
This reminds me very much of Television's first album but everything else I've heard by Don sounds metal-y. I like this better; it's one thing to be super-complex but to use it to make actually enjoyable sounds is impressive.
check out their last 2 albums, especially American Don, very pretty and not metally. The new Don Cab stuff isn't really Don Cab, unless Don Cab means Damon Che + x.
woah now, the don caballero coming to town will not be the same one from this show! everyone should acknowledge that the band around now is not the original and nowhere near as good
Yes it is Eric Emm. My mistake. I would need to re render the piece and repost, but the other units are correct so I will leave it for now! Thanks! Stanford
yea man, dont repost, let it be known that it is Eric Emm, not pat morris. Let us close this matter, and not make the host angry and take away this sweet sweet media file. Dear God it doesnt matter.
You are a genius for suggesting such Storm & Stress videos. Hopefully the combined wishing of the two of us will produce them. Also, this is unrelated, but did no one ever record a Sharks Keep Moving show? Why aren't these things on the internet? I am so angry at the internet right now!
Haha... no one seems to care for complex rock bands (except Mr. Stanford here, who taped this entire show!)
No "Sharks..." vids `round here. Not even a "Pele" video!
But be sure to check out this band: It`s called "Buzzard". Search with the band name and "mathrock". There are three videos of them. An excellent trio from early 90`s. And they are back!
I'm not sure if you're already aware of this by now, but I recently discovered some Pele vids on the ol' youtube. Just search "Pele Hummingbirds Eat."
You're doing a great service by uploading this show. I just wanted to encourage the continuation of such activities. On behalf of the entire internet (yes, I have that kind of authority), thank you.
This song was originally called That Badge Means You Suck. There is another vid on here from a show in Chicago in '99 with this song on it. Check it out!

You mean Snoopy Waves sounds like a modified version of this? (American Don was written only about a decade before Offend Maggie came out.)
